New seaside bar in Asuncion

The first client is patiently waiting for the new bar to open....rumor has it this will be a family bar...that will be fun wandering down the road to have a cold one...it is exactly in the middle between our place, Diver's and Gypsies(Trotters have a few extra steps to run..we can have races! At least our kids will know where their parents will be and family bars usually accept pets too....Martillo loves it already! Looks like it will be kinda rustic so it will fit right in here and is being built by a local family...this place could use a little pub for sure and we look forward to this new addition to the neighbourhood. Thank god, it is in the middle of all our places, and that Martillois there to take us home! I was worried, I would have to drunken walk from house to house, now we can all meet at one location!!!!

Looks like they added the rafters and a few more sheets of used plywood since we were there.
I wonder when/if they will install the floor ??
Hope they get it ready in time for the festivities in August !!

Hmm...looks like a good spot to park the 5th wheel.

In which case, I will be there waiting for all of you.

Hey Shari-

Tracy and I met the lady that owns the big 2 story house out by the Trotter's. She was quick to tell us that she had a store and sold clothes and natural medicines. She seemed very nice and we noticed a great deal of work going on at her place. Do you have any more info?

Who said anything about a floor Diver? There is no foundation either! I like the idea of Martillo taking gypsy home. Yes, the work on this project is progressing at about the same pace as diver's fosa. I'll keep you all posted on the progress. It looks like they are putting a little patio out front too. Laurie, you'd better start working out!

The man who is building the little bar is a part of a local family, but he also lives in Rosarito----the one in the north. Not sure when he will be back to finish and not sure if he will move there full time as his wife works in Chula Vista---commutes everyday---dual citizenship.

We hope he moves down to BA full time as he really is a super nice guy.

Sophia is a really nice person---not sure exactly what all of her plans are---she has her sign for the store, but still most of the time no one is there.

At times Sophia and her young adult daughter, also Sophia bring underpriviledged children down with them. The last ones we met were from Chula Vista. Sophia lives in both Chula Vista and in Tijuana.

Now, Shari can fill you in on the rumor that has stopped some of her building. Then again, rumors run wild around that place.

Diane

Can't wait to get back.

Diane

That horse is EVERYWHERE---saw him heading over the hill toward San Roque one day. One day we saw him sprawled out in the field behind us and thought maybe he had overeaten and couldn't get up.

Nice picture Gypsy's. We too are excited for the new bar but its a long commute from the Beach House. Where can we get a horse like yours, then we can ride it or swim it with the horse over to your place. But then again we think there might be a swim up bar at the new hotel. I understand horses are welcome at the swim up bar with appropriate diving attire.
