Recommendation for accomodations in Northern Baja
Hey there,
I'm driving from TJ to Cabo next week. I'm giving myself 3 days (2 nights to do it). I'd like to stay night 2 in Mulege, but I was wondering whether
anyone could give their input of where to stay (city and hotel) for that first night? Looking for a nicer-type place in a nice ciudad. We will
probably cross the border around noon, so I'm looking for somthing w/in 7 hours of the border. Also, is the drive from Mulege to Cabo feasible in one
day? Thanks in advance for suggestions.

We have stayed at Baja Cactus and would also recommend it. Try to get one of the newer rooms. http://www.bajacactus.com/
Unless you are in a big hurry to get to Cabo, you might want to consider taking it a little slower and adding another day to your trip. Mulege to Cabo
is about 440 miles.
I think the world is run by C- students.

So, you're really trying to do it in 2.5 days? That's a real cojone crush, amigo. You'd better leave Baja Cactus at first light if you dont want to
drive in the dark. And regardless of what the clock says, you will be driving east and the sun will set earlier so you will basically lose an hour of
light.
Then, there's that day three you've set up for yourself.
You've got to be a madman AND have luck that everything goes smoothly during the drive.........which it sometimes does (flats, odd inspection,
mordida, accident blocking the road, etc. Not common or probable; just possible.
Certainly, no fun in this scenario. No time to even enjoy Mulege.

Jardines in San Quintin.
Very quiet and nice restaurant right next door.
I would add one day to your schedule. Spend third night in La Paz.

wow, you guys are great. I think I'd agree with the extra day and spend an evening in La Paz. Any suggestions for a nicer place?

In La Paz Los Arcos cabanas, get one away from the pool. Right on the malacon walking distance to restruants and ice cream. You'll love it.
