Need Latin translation
Here's a Biblical phrase that Jesuit Miguel del Barco, a peninsula missionary for 30 years, applied to Indian urination. It has something to do with
peeing on a wall, but I need a literal translation.
mingetem ad parieter etcetera
I once posted a query similar to this on another forum and got some clever replies. There are a lot more Nomads now than at that time, and I hope
someone who reads the General forum has a working knowledge of Latin.
Edited after seeing those asterisks: Is "urinating" acceptable?

Yeah Lera...

Part of the problem translating is that the latin has already been screwed up by the priestly utterence ... these guys were never very good with their
pronunciation. And as a result the latin was the mangled version.

Who knows what the heck you are trying to translate. You need to provide the entire quote and its context,...
Maybe look at I Kings 14:10 for biblical reference to "pi$$ing against a wall." Passage refers to old vs young men, and some bible versions use
poorly translated idea of young being able to pi$$ with vigor and old not having as vigorous of a stream.

Whoa...goat
Your 666 is coming out.
Don't want to be messin' with any myths where people do "peeeth". Your body will be dragged out like dung for the dogs and vultures to eat.
SPOOOOOOOKEE
A deep rumbling voice: "That's for peeing on a wall, now I DARE you to do something sociopathic!" "And remember, don't do as I do, do as I say."
Maybe Latin makes it sound more PC.

That IS the entire quote, which was added by Padre del Barco after he described the positions taken by Indian men and women when they urinated.
I thought it would be interesting to include, but didn't expect a translation to be all that difficult. Since it's not essential anyway, I'll just
omit itit.

Huh? Please explain -- are you saying the priests in the Vatican don't have good pronunciation? How would you (or anyone in modern times) know that?

Lera, I don't know about the etcetera part (need more context), but the "literal" translation of the rest is "relieve yourself against the wall". Of
course literal translation is pretty tricky between ANY two languages, as truly literal translations often make NO sense, so some adaptation is
required -- but that's pretty close.

Thank you, Roberto. That will work.
Vgo's post indicates that peeing is permitted, while pi**ing is not. Political Correctness can work in mysterious ways..

Guess CaboRon isn't willing to explain is mysterious comment. Surprised? I'm not. Can we start a "Certified Kook" forum? That way we could easily
filter out suspicious posts and optimize our highly valuable time.

Lera, you DO undersand the "censoring" you are talking about is not human? That a series of words were programmed into the software for automatic
substitution?

Yes, Roberto, I know that.
I suppose the decision to outlaw p*ssing was a subjective one, probably based on the fact that this form of micturation is sometimes applied verbally
in a hostile fashion, as in "Well p*ss on you too!" while pee is not aimed at anyone in this way.
At least not by me and my ilk.

Curious how this thread has morphed into a discussion of how our "culture" can't cope with alternate words for urination, while the topic was about a
quote relating to the root values of the national religion wherein the national deity threatens death and dismemberment for any so bold as to "peeeth"
on a wall.
Pretty ugly. (another example of strange communications)
