I looked at that weather site and found a huge difference between the Mulege report and what we had here today only about 10 miles away. Photo shows high gust at my house but it never went below 20 mph all day and is still 23+mph. The weird thing is the wind has been out of the South which is unusual for an all day blow.

Russ, how do you access the internet out there? If it's pretty continuous, you could become a PWS for wunderground. It sure would be nice to have a station out at Chivato.

I think the discrepancy in wind could easily be explained by topography and/or the position of the sensor in Mulege. I would think you would be cooler on the whole than Mulege, but stations can vary a bit on temps. Not so much on wind.

Hook, One of the attractions of Chivato is the way it faces. During the winter the North wind is normal so you're able to escape the cold wind on your front patio facing the water. During the summer when it's hot & humid the wind come on shore and helps cool things down.
FYI: 64º this morning and the South wind blew all night. 64% hum. - 18 to 25 mph SSE wind
I am a Mac snob and seldom switch over to the installed Windows XP option so uploading to a weather site hasn't worked for me.
