TALL SHIP
At lunchtime today I lifted mine eyes to the horizon and beheld an unusual sight - a tall ship headed northwards of our ranch coast at a very
respectable speed - with NO sails . . .
Does anyone know of this vessel? Flying US flag.

I saw that ship in Ensenada's dry dock a few weeks ago being fitted...

I saw it early this morning off of Point Loma....beautiful sight. I think it was headed into San Diego harbor

TALL SHIP SIGHTING
Thanks Baitcast!
Johannes - you nailed it. That web page has a locator, and it nails the ship's position right off Rancho la Aguja today.

looks like the Bounty to me too Good image here:http://l.yimg.com/www.flickr.com/images/spaceball.gif

HMS Bounty - also known as the Edinburgh Trader from the Pirates of the Caribbean sailing towards Derry. The HMS Bounty is a full-size replica of the
original and was originally built in 1962 for ‘Mutiny on the Bounty’ starring Marlon Brando

Naw Matees...looks to me like a ship full of Dutch free booters out of Pichaliingue. Me thinks the holds are full of Spanish gold coins, silver from
South American mines, and Portuguese wine casks!! I say we pull along side in the wee hours and help ourselves to those spoils we're entitled to.
Who's with me ??

At about 1:30 this afternoon it passed by our front yard in Bahia Asuncion.
Was not close enough to take a decent picture, but sure looked good through the binoculars. Wish it would have been running with sails---would have
been quite a sight

What a beautiful ship--wish I'd had a chance to see it.
