Interested in a Long Baja Bike Adventure?

Shopping for bicyle parts today, we picked up an advertisement for the Baja Epic.

www.bajaepic.com

It is a combination mountain bike race and adventure. The ride includes Rosarito, Tecate, Ensenada and Mike's Sky Ranch.

It is not cheap, but might be of interest to some hard core mountain bike riders.

Good Workout

Anyone doing it better be in excellent condition. That's a good ride on a MC let alone a Mtn Bike. Going up Simpson hill into Mike's Sky Ranch will probably find more people walking than riding. I think I'll set it out and maybe watch.

Interesting Bruce,

Is there something you know about the company sponsoring this event? I know absolutely nothing about them. I just picked up the flyer thinking someone here might be interested.

If there is something you know, please tell us--:?::?:

It sounds like a good one, but only for the hardcore riders.

It appears that Too Much Fun club is the promoter. I know them from the motorcycle races at the Cantamar sand dunes south of Puerto Nuevo by the ocean. It was a while ago, mid 90s. I don't know of any problems with them, it seemed then to be a standup operation.

This sounds like fun. On Monday, I covered 10 miles in 50 min. on my road bike. I'm not in condition to race, but for a fun ride, this would be a different take on Baja from outside of my trusty Jeep.
