What kind of utility boxes are those? And how tall? Looks like the perfect way to get exterior storage with a truck camper.

The utility body is made by a company called Pacific. The cabinets are 33 inches tall on the outside and extend 19" above the bed floor.
Here's a link to a drawing, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the picture to enlarge it:

It's nice to have the extra storage, keeps you from having to climb over stuff packed on the camper floor. Another nice feature is having a place to
lock up gear that's more secure than being inside the truck or camper when you want to go out kayaking, surfing, fishing etc.

Updated truck price is $10,900.
More to consider:
The current price of a custom truck utility body will run you $5500-$8000 .
New tires last week- Bridgestone on/off-road tires (with less than 50 miles on them) - $800.00
This Custom front Burro Bar Bumper would run you $1500- $2000.
The Custom fabricated rear step bumper with Line-x coating and a class III trailer hitch was $1000 (and it's worth every penny for the safety and
convenience to get in and out of a camper without breaking your ankle)
Baja stuff:
Viper alarm with "ignition kill" feature.
Racor secondary fuel filter/water separator-this truck will keep going, even on PEMEX diesel.
Dual fuel tanks (37 gal). You can make it thru the long stretches of desert.
Shocks/suspension stuff- see the blog for details.
Baja Road hazards gear: full coverage running boards, heavy duty mud flaps, grill/radiator screen keeps damage from flying debris to a minimum.
There's a long list of big ticket, advanced maintenance that's been done to this truck before it was needed (or recommended by Ford) that's
kept it in top shape for Baja travel. Contact for specifics.
Reason for selling- retirement plans and need to put a dent in a new truck loan while still working.
This is a great truck and is sort of like a pet- hope it goes to a good home.

Just got an 08 Chevy Duramax 3500. I hope it's as reliable as the old Ford was.

I remember your old rig from the '92? or so flood just south of
San Quintin. What are you going to use for a camper?
Pop up? or full blown Lance? I guess with the Duramax you'll be going from solid axel to independent front suspension.
I know in the past you would chase waves in out of the way places. It would be interesting to hear your opinion of how the new rig works out.
