Tonight's Sunset in Baja Norte
The white hot sun in the clear sky is still four hands above the horizon.
The ocean is calm; pale blue with a sparkling silver overlay.
Perhaps there might be a green flash.

I feel like I'm there...keep your eyes peeled and let us know if you see a green flash. Have you ever?

Yes, But They Are Very Rare
(Snark Alert) Just like real estate salespersons saying that you are going to be able to see migrating whales if you just buy their condo.
Usually, there is an evening mist that moves in on sunset. But, if the sky is clear and humidity relatively low (okay, weather people, don't pile on
me), we see an amazing green flash that runs north-to-south that lights up the sky.
I cherish those moments - those very brief moments.

No green flash. Last 3 days saw lots of sun and wonderful temps for my mother's visit this week. It's also her escape from steam in Orlando.
Excuse me for still being fairly new. Is the green flash a physical phenomenon or a legend? Does the phenomenon have a medication requirement in
order to view it?

Wow, Grover, What a Great Picture!
I wish that the technlogically challenged me would/could have done as well in capturing this magical moment.
Thank you for the gift for my computer archives (if I don't screw it up, that is).

I've never seen one, and I'm no expert, but I did stay at the Google Hotel last night!

Thanks, Grover and vgabndo. Apparently, "clear" conditions are best for the flash. My medicated state may prevent that.
