What can we do different?

So there has been allot lately about negative comments on BN and other places.. I agree.. that although MOST of the news items and things are fact.. We seem to be dwelling on those facts and forgetting the good news, which apperntly all the tourist are doing the same thing (except the 3 or so that came over the border today)

So .. Lets be productive and not complain that others are complaining, Lets see what we can do to change it?

This is a pretty well known site, maybe a weekly press release could be arranged with Good news, and distributed to all the major outlets...

Or maybe we can just try and do our part and balance out our post's.

I dont think one person is as guilty as another.. its just time we stop crying about it, and if we don't like it change it!!

I personally hate it when my friends or family in the states tell me that OI am crazy for living here... That I will end up dead (Theres more danger of that from a Nomad than anyone else):o Because I know its just a SMALL portion of the truth! I know that TJ and Baja are BIG and Just like everything else the media gets its teeth into, they will beat the dead dog untill soemthing else comes up.. Then they will forget about it, and move on.. I would never walk in certain parts on ANY major US city at night or day.. Just like I wouldnt here.. BUT we need to get that message out!

Any ideas??

the 2000 or so people on this site know the facts....that means it's crowded enough at the places i/we go (last month we were alone!) so i don't think a monthly press release is a good idea. let the cattle go where they want without any prodding.

it sounds selfish, i know....and i am!!!!:saint:

I use the operating system that works the best for my applications .... and it is NOT firefox.

I am asking that a spell checker be installed on this site ...

And I was not talking to you, but to Doug Means, thank you very much. This is now the tenth time I have asked the question and have never had a response from the moderators.

LancairDriver,

First , what is an Lancair ?

Secondly, your comment is in my quote box, you don't want to get stuck in someone elses box because they can then gain control of your posts

BTW,
If you had been here for a while or done some research, you would find that Nomads have been involved in many ways. (no smack intended).

letter and email writing,
partial boycotts
financial support
police support
safety issues

Not to mention the charities, fundraisers and give-aways.
There are some very active, very smart and very generous folkks on Nomads.
Fighting the fight against crime and border terrorism has been discussed numerous times but agreement on any substantial method of impacting the situation has escaped us so far. Perhaps some of you newer member have some new thoughts on the matter ?

So After ALL THAT I got 3 legite answers and alot of BS!

Listen.. Is it really that big of a deal about the spell checker? I am sorry that I am not so picky that I have to sit like a 90 year old bored retired english teacher and grade every post. Get over it. You know what I mean, thats the point... BUT NO instead of Positve responses to the problem.. I get Negative!

Any ideas? Or do we all just want to sit and complain???

Since this is the way I guess, we are speaking to each other ow, I will respond!

This post was NOT an attack on TJ , Fernando, so please don't defend it.. Its not necesary in this case....ok?

About the police... Since he did not technilly do anytihng wrong except ask me questions.. why would I complain?

Again... No need to defend.. how about giving some odeas, and what you do to change things??
