Tecate Event this weekend


In case any of you are interested in heading down to Tecate this weekend for the start of the Fiestas de Vendimia, here's an event put on to benefit CAREM, the organization trying to preserve Baja's missions and historic buildings. I am also told the food will be prepared by some special chefs who are donating their time.

Remember, this will benefit the saving of the missions......

Wine and Songs
Saturday, August 2, 2008 - 7:00 p. m.,
Location: Parque del Profesor or Park of the Stones,
(Street: Prolongación Cuchuma, Tecate, B. C.)

Concert at 8:00 p. m., performed by:
Group INNUENDO de Mexicali (Beatles, 60's, etc).

Cost per person: $50.00 dollars.
Includes: conmemorative wine glass, 3 bottles of wine
for a table of 8 people, food and concert.

Also: Art exhibition by local artists and art sale
from the Kumiai community.

Sounds great Ted... I would like to meet Zella having emailed her several times about Mision Santa Maria preservation and San Juan de Dios being destroyed... This Saturday PM we already have plans with Nomad friends in the US. If you go, tell her hi from me and that I hope to work with her on the missions some day!

I saw her a couple weeks ago as I am assisting her with spreading the word. They will have a website up soon with information on what they are doing, etc. I'll let you know as soon as I do.

doin fine but no baja travel since march. hope to be on the pacific in a few weeks or less tho.
still have our session on .wav and .mp3 so i can hear it.

why not set up a trip soon? later.
