Conversations with oneself
Allright... I need help here.
This really seems silly to me, but before I make a flat out ruling the way I see it, I want some feedback to see if others are in agreement with
me.... or not.
There are SEVERAL people here holding conversations with THEMSELVES (with their user name and also as anonymous). There is nothing harmful in
anything being said... and I'm really not sure of the purpose, except to possibly just bring more attention to the original posting that they made (or
maybe there's an issue about it making them appear more popular? I dunno).
Anyway, I kind of find that inappropriate. I warned in an earlier posting that I could see that going on, and thought that might put an end to it,
but alas, not so.
Should I leave it alone as long as there's nothing bad being said.... or, do I warn people to stop, and if they don't ban them... or, try to delete
posts that I see like this (which is a lot of work I really shouldn't have to, nor desire, to do).
Shout out everyone!

Kind of sad. Unless it's me then I would like to be notified so I can get back on my medications.
"You shouldn't say things like that"! "Why they'll never know"? "What do you mean - you just type it IN you OAF"!

Wait and See
I say let it go... for a little while anyway. I for one have had to post a reply right underneath my first post because I screwed something up.
Am I considered one of the offenders?
I think there are quite a few people making an effort to make this an interesting place, so please don't humiliate anyone off just yet. (I don't think
you can assume that everyone read your first post either.)
Thanks for asking opinions, thanks for providing these forums.

You already probably know my opinion. If you want a "clean" board, the easiest answer seems to be to make everybody sign in if they're going to post.
I believe you'll eventually find this to be a necessity if the traffic keeps picking up. I prefer things "straight up". Even if I'm talking to
someone using an alias, it's comforting to know that much every time I speak to that person rather than not knowing that the same jerk is speaking in
two voices. I like the idea of giving the warning and then booting the faker if "he" can't comply. People who post anonymously have license to say
things they just wouldn't be caught dead saying if they had to stand behind their word in any real way. I think it's hilarious, though, that some
people have nothing better to do than boost their own stock by talking to themselves.
What else do our little "cookies" tell you, by the way? Just curious. In any case, it's cool you would ask us for our opinions on this whether you
incorporate them or not.- Stephanie
p.s. Reefrocket, Don't forget. It's the little blue pill on the kitchen counter. Now be a good boy and don't forget.

As a new poster, having been lurking, I don't care if people use aliases. As long as it's not in an antagonistic manner.

Maybe people are answering themselves in order to get the posting numbers up on this board, in order to legitimize this board as opposed to some other
board.

Pacoderm, you are so correct; you always are correct. You seem soo smart. Must be good-looking to. And on and on. Maybe this is the reason people
reply to their own posts.
