805gregg...just wondering how you know it's fake if you don't watch it????
Are you basing your perception of all reality-based TV shows on one show you have seen in the past?
Not criticizing!!!!!!!!!!!just wondering.............
I just saw this on wenesday, it's a re-run,can pin point the location but it looks west of San Felipe, on the show he try to eat a pinacate(sting
bug), you can tell he didn't enjoy that.when he gets stung by the bees you can see a hand helping him remove the stinger from his eye, the salt flats
look like Diablo's but it also could be Laguna Salada, it's funny how he reaches the coast and you don't see H5, real or not I ilke the produccers
taking the Baja desert as a area to be a beatifull place and also a deathly one.
PS I like the show, just becacuse it was about Baja.
BAJA IS WHAT YOU WANTED TO BE, FUN,DANGEROUS,INCREDIBLE, REMOTE, EXOTIC..JUST GO AND HAVE FUN.....
But Mango: Losten Up!
We of the Grestest Generation have done so much in the past 60 years that we hate to see all our Great Work Go to Waste.
We developed,
Honesty
Honor
Respect,
Truth. Kindness,
As well as fought 2 World Wars, protected those Cowardly French, Korea, Vetnam, Irag{Saddam is no more}.
Had Harry S. Truman, John F. Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, went to the Moon, developed the Computer, had three presidents from Texas{The Greatest State of
the Union}, survived the 60's even tho the "Do it if it feels good Bunch are still around".
Only trouble we failed in keeping those Yongsters off of Drugs, Now we pay!!, They pay, everbody Pays!
Why don't people learn that they cannot live off somone else, it is time for them to "Cut Bait or Fish".

I'm plenty loose. I was just poking fun.
All those things you listed are great. They have come and gone and will come and go again countless times.
IMO - We humans are silly creatures that run in circles/cycles just like everything else.
yes... we have our priories mixed up; but, it started way before this generation.
I went to one of the better public schools/school districts in the nation. In the late 1980's my science book said, "When man lands on the moon, the
spaceship will most likely be made of balsa wood due to its high strength to weight ratio." My science book was over 35 years old, the buildings were
falling apart, and our locker room was condemned my senior year.
I'm sure glad they were busy building prisons to house all the under-educated marooons they were producing.
Prisoners don't pay taxes. You'd think it would be in the governments own self interest to put education second in line behind defense. The problem
is not lack of money, the problem is lack of will and accountability.
Conversely, I had a doctorate for an English teacher in high school. Even though the heater was broken and the floor was dirty because they couldn't
afford to pay the janitors.
I'm loose... But don't blame this mess on the kids...
Seems as if you ask a 50 year old a Question, his answer comes back adressed on what happened in a current Movie.
Not trying to steal the Thread, just pointing out that sometimes the "Cheater based Culture" gets so into a TV program, they appear to believe that
all onTV is TRUE!
This was showing in the Posts on this Thread..
Have a good day, go shopping, spend your money, go out into the wide World and learn the Truth First Hand, not from TV, Movies and Liberal College

Back to the Man vs. Wild thing... I personally don't like the show, but the premise is OK. Would have been better if he'd been in the middle of the
Vizcaino Desert. I wonder what it would be like camping out with one of those survival dudes in Baja... seems like they'd be fun enough around a
campfire.

I think Bear should just hook up with some illegals crossing the boarder in Northern Baja and I bet they could teach him a thing or two,,,,,or he
could just pick up your local survival booklet on "how to cross in to the US and live to tell your families about it".
Good old Bear, but personally I like Survivor Man best---the dude packs his own camera gear--such a manly man.
While Bear was caught "roughing" it in hotels, he does provide some good knowledge. Yes those grubs COULD be fake, but I highly doubt it. That bee
sting looked pretty authentic too. It straight out tells you on the show that some items are placed and local experts as well as survival experts are
on hand. Hey, I learned how to set snares watching Bear and Les.
