Thanks to everyone for your kind words for Shelby-dog. She was just a great companion all these years.

Keri, your Rainbow Bridge was overwhelming - I loved it. Thanks.

God Speed, Shelby.

I just gave my pup a hug and kiss in her memory. :saint:

Bob, I am really hurting to hear about the loss of Shelby. What a fine dog she was.

It took us a year to get over the loss of our English Lab, Diggity. But eventually we got another and wondered why we waited so long.

We highly recommend the "get back up on the horse" method of getting over the loss of a great dog.

Shelby had a room mate the last three months, Luke, the chocolate lab. He's now 21 months old and lives with us full time. Bob H

She really needs a family Bob and it's a great excuse to come down for the fishing tournament and fiestas!!!

Bob.
Very sorry to hear about your loss. Having gone through the grief of loosing a pet several times during my life, I know what you're going through. I'm dreading the day to have to say goodbye to my 15 year old Lhasa, but I know it's inevitable. A new pup will alleviate your grief a bit, but it will never take the plave of the lost one. But it definitely helps taking your mind of your loss.

Bob,
I am very sorry for your family's loss. It seems you gave her a very happy life... and she returned the favor.
A toast to your family... and Shelby - ¡Salud!

Bob,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Your picture of Shelby is beautiful and the love in her eyes tells me everything I need to know about her, and you.
She was a beautiful girl and obviously lived a beautiful life.
The pain of losing our babies is so intense but it does get better with time. They always live in our hearts and I believe she's waiting at the rainbow bridge for you, same as my departed babies are.
Meanwhile, go throw the ball for Luke! He'll make you smile and he probably needs a smile himself.
Via Con Dios Shelby...............

I AM VERY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS....She was a beautiful girl!!!

I don't know if you've ever read the following story, but I had saved it because I thought it expressed so well the way I believe it will be.

BTW... Luke is certainly a handsome guy!!

Miguelamo

The Rainbow Bridge Story

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and time gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

THEN YOU CROSS RAINBOW BRIDGE TOGETHER....

Bob and Audrey...

...we're so sorry to read about your recent loss...our pets are such good and loyal 'friends', it's way to difficult to deal with their passing.

Please know you're not alone in your grief...we all here feel some too...

Love and best wishes...Ray and Pat.
