Hook,
The rain was coming in sideways from the West.
AT 1830 hrs now we are back to calm with light rain.
Maybe it's over, hard to tell.

6:40PM. Still continuous gentle rain but no wind in Loreto Bay. However it is looking darker in the south.
Just drove into town. The traffic signal is working by El Pescador. I can't remember the last time it was working.
They just put in the world's biggest speed bumps in Loreto Bay. Glad to see they had money leftover to fixed the traffic signal.

thanks all for your udates as we are glued to this site to find out how fast it is approaching our area...we had a gorgeous clear sunny day, 15 knots
of wind from the west and nice warm water...we were swimming all afternoon keeping an eye on the nasty looking clouds over Mulege and hoping the west
wind continues to blow to keep most of it away from us..although a nice little rain would be lovely....be safe fellow nomads and keep the reports
coming....much appreciated.

Report from San Juanico at 6:30 pm PST
Here is a report from Jaime Adkins in San Juanico:
"Forget the forecast, we just got blasted with a few inches of rain at about 30knts. If that's what's coming it should be green real here real soon.
Charging my batteries during the break. Could be down for days. I'll keep you posted on the situation in the arroyos."
If I get anything else from the San Juanico area, I'll post.

What do they need "TOPES" for
Aren't you folks supposed to live in a car free environment, with electric carts, bicicles and walking shoes.

Vandenberg,
Seems the attitude is swelling to larger proportions.
The advice I am about to give you is worth what you are paying for it.

This storm did not drop below 10mph from the first time I saw any data.
Moving fast is a good thing! When they stall, they accumulate moisture.

10:00PM
Just took my gin and tonic up to the upper deck and checked the weather.
It is breezy but not raining. Streets actually starting to dry a little but feels like it will be windy and rainy throughout the night. Hope that is
all it is.
The world's biggest topes are actually in Nopolo just off highway 1 on the road going to Loreto Bay and they are not in Loreto Bay. They sure are
discouraging us from having small cars because a small car will get hung on those suckers. They must be at least 8" tall, 4 feet wide with sharp
edges not rounded corners

Midnight in Loreto Bay
Rain, lightning and a little wind.
Nothing serious but it feels like it will be this way for a while.

yes Loreto has daylight saving time.
I believe it is mountain daylight time; same as Denver.
It is confusing because Sonora where Hermosillo is does not follow daylight saving time. Hermosillo is one hour earlier even though it is east of
Baja.
Continue to rain with thunder and lightning at 12:40AM
