Outer edges of the clouds with high, cold tops starting to reach the Sonoran coast near San Carlos. LARGE drops starting..........but no wind at all.

It's 5:51 here in Sonora, yet WE are on MST..........confusing.

Or have I been living an hour off for my first nine days of retirement in Mexico..............nah, cant be. Happy hours here are ending when they are supposed to.

I complain about the world's biggest topes but my compliments to Nopolo's utility. I dont think electricity ever went off in Loreto Bay.

Main street on South end near Loreto Bay Inn is clear but there are no cars or trucks on the street.

I have to believe the lower streets coming into Loreto Bay are flooded.
Light rain now with very gray skies in Loreto Bay.

It's 8:15 and the police just announced school cancellation...kids are happy. It is cloudy and humidcalm seas...no wind, no rain but looks ominous out there. Be safe everyone...dont try to cross those arroyos unecessarily.

The police just announced that the highway was closed from north of San Ignacio to La Paz due to wash outs. Hope my laundry dries before it rains....the sun just came out so its looking good.

Wish it would hurry up and get out of here. I have a lake, might even have trout, in front of my home.

Loreto
just back from a walk to the marina. appears most people got their small crafts out of there in time but of the fifteen or so pangas left, many sank. a bunch of people working to wade/pull/push/winch them out.
rains continue. now too heavy for my umbrella. motor traffic seems to be picking up. corners towards water of Benito Juarez flooded as usual. I didn't want to try my luck wading in the sewage laden waters to get into town proper.

reality\'s never been of much use out here...

0940 hrs. Todos Santos

These storms are strange ....
About 30 min ago it started raining again after many hours of relative calm.
Very heavy but falling down instead of sideways as it was yesterday.

Just back from a swim. Seas confused but not big.
Looked like rain all around us but not a drop has fallen since yesterday afternoon.
Right now(9:45) sunny and steamy but only 80 on the chile thermometer.
Hope all of you north of here are doing ok.
Read in the paper that Comondu was hit pretty hard!
Schools closed here too

Steady downpour here in Nopolo withwind from the south with occasional gusts up to 25 mph. Flooded streets, nothing unusual with any kind of rain. Golfcourse holding up nice with small lakes here and there. Most steady rain I've seen here in years, even during Marty and John.

I think my photographic memory ran out of film
