The Highway from Ejido San Lucas to Santa Rosalia is open and fine. Small amount of wash trash at the bottom of one of the vados. Think the worst
seems to be over here.
Light patters of rain and some wind right now.
Clear enough to receive FTA TV and my satellite internet .

Good thread re: Baja. Thank you all for reporting in. We have property in Pescadero and a sailboat in La Paz, but are out of it in California.
Really appreciate the posted information (and cooperative posting). You are our most reliable and current information on what is going on. This
becomes increasingly more important as hurricanes start bearing down on the peninsula. Already had lots of damage from previous hurricane (Marty) to
our boat. Thanks again.

I'm wondering how our Elias Calles nomads and todos santos amigos fared...maybe the power is out as we haven't heard from them today?

2:00PM
Just drove into town from from Loreto Bay. Things are getting back to normal.
Main road in Loreto Bay is dry and clear until you get to Aqua Viva. I saw a large truck drive through but the water looked too deep for my SUV.
Circled back around on the frontage road which is open to Highway 1 on the south entrance even though that road is dug up. This is really the only
way in and out of Loreto Bay for smaller cars right now because construction on the frontage road blocks getting to the main entrance into Loreto Bay.
Highway 1 was clear. Last week one lane opened on the new bridge just north of the entrance into Nopolo so that was excellent timing.
Streets east of downtown in Loreto are clear but water still standing as you approach the malecon. Business getting back to normal. I got gas, food
at the market and oil for the doors at the hardware store. Our biggest problem has not been leaks but the doors being warped so much they wont shut
or open. We have water.
The tide must be in because Sea of Cortez water was splashing onto the malecon under the bridge at the end of the main street. With hurricane type
winds it is easy to see how this storm could have been so much worse.
The attitude of the Loreto people is outstanding. I love them a lot all the time but love them even more at times like this.

Rained this morning in Elias Calles. We now have sunny skies, which make my solar batteries smile. City water is down. Could be acouple of days before
we have water. All n all, not a bad storm. Lots of rain, plants will be very green.

Anymore info from San Juanico?
Specifically reports on the salt flats from Datil or even the North road? My take is prolly not worth the risk after all that water falling but would
be interested in any reports available.

Thanks for the update, I have been waiting to hear from you. I was so hoping that all of the dredging was going to do some good.
What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

Thanks for checking in Marv. Is this flooding from surge or the rio or both? Is power still on??

Lauriboats, It's all about "sea level". What do you get when you dig a hole in
the Ocean? Mulege is located in a "funnel", lot's of water from the high country to the west has to pass thru a small place. Dredging only works when
the tide goes out.

Hoping the water stays below your home again !!
Sorry to Sharks and others ...... another clean-up.
Maybe the equipment we donated last time will help.
Also hoping that everyone stays safe.

El Juncalito/Pto Escondido. several fords of low water on roads. this at 1pm Sunday. I understand semis are lined up outside of town waiting to get
south. anyone have more info?
reality\'s never been of much use out here...
