Hopefully someone that's been there recently will have better info.
This site lists most of the hotels, motels and vacation home rentals.
Have fun !!

Keri,

You'll want the AZ side of Lake Havasu, also you may want to be near or on the "island" at the "channel" which is the same thing as the "bridge".

We spend many weekends at Lake Havasu as it is our new Summer spot for weekends and we were just up there late August. We take our RV and stay at the south end of Lake Havasu at Havasu Springs Resort. Very nice. 20 miles south on the Lake from the Bridge.

Haven't had a bad trip yet....

If you have the $$$$$, why not look into renting a houseboat?

They don't rent house boats here anymore due to too many inexperienced boaters(usually Spring Breakers) that do not understand the dangers of carbon monoxide. They run the A/C and idle all night to keep cool.

We stayed at a nice campground with nice cabins/rooms in the same place years ago.
If it's still there it was a great place for a family gathering with kids.

Great to see a newbie chiming in !
Thanks Desertsurfgal !!
I hope Keri contacts you.

Was that Crazy Horse Campground or Nautical Inn? The Nautical is now a time share and hotel. The Nautical has a beautiful beach and The Naked Turtle bar right on the sand. I would recommend staying there, the #(928)855-2141. You almost feel like you're in Baja?

I would not be surprised if you were at the Nautical. Very well known and popular historic site. All the Hobie Cats used to line the beach in the 70's.

Greenish/Blue. From up the hill the water is blue from the reflection of the sky. By no means is the water as gorgeous as the Pacific near Cabo or any body of water in Baja.

what great memories! Sky harbor to Blythe. then a juant to Havasu then home to Phx sky harbor. my 3 point X country was in the book all done in a cherokee warrior/cruiser 150 hp! - on to the private check ride.
for years we made overnight flights to havasu to land and stay at the nautical Inn. they'd come get us in a golf cart. we'd stay for like in the $60s - $80s before they finally built the new city airport north on 95 five miles and the peninsula strip long a famous AZ flying land mark went to condos.
really miss that. But then we found the Serenidad!! close 2nd.

wasn't there a barge floating bar on the river for years called the Winners Circle??

I believe that bar was down river in Parker strip a long time ago. Look for Fox's floating bar now.
