It sounds to me like she did pretty good for Mexico. she got it imported and crossed and got to her location in less than 24 hours. I once slept in my truck for 3 days and nights to import irrigation equipment.

Diana,

How much did it cost? I know you were moving it to La Mission from north county San Diego.

Do you still need your furniture moved down?

it cost $3500, plus heartache, hours, days, weeks of phone calls, plus so much more. it was an ordeal and i am exhausted. thank u bruce for your kind words. oh, and btw, the awning is still not there. the transport company took it out of the mobile home, saying ti would be confiscated, and he still has it...along with the keys.

iizeard lips, yes, i still need my furniture moved...however, i still have my mobile home to sell, before that happens. i have one good source to contact when it's time.

importing is done during regular business hours

The important thing is that she got it here. Let her get it set up, arrange furniture and make the beds before we hammer her toohard with questions.

Congratulations Diana - you deserve it! Invite us down for a martini and I'll bring the gin!

Hey, Dianaji, what you did is amazing! Your dream came true!!!
You got your mobile home across the border and all for ONLY 3 and 1/2 thousand dollars?? That is wonderful!
I am so sorry that the whole ordeal was so painful; look at it as an initiation. You passed the test! You had a vision, you had determination, you had faith, and you completed your mission. You did what many have only wished they had the strength to do. You endured and survived the pain. You won't have to do it again, so you can relax now and go on with the business of settling in your new life.
I am not privvy to the particulars in your life situation, but my heart goes out for you for all the stress that you have gone through.
Please forgive these curious Nomads, they can't believe you just accomplished a great feat and they want to know the details, that's all...

the details would take pages.

and thank u, i now feel supported and inspired.

A deck on stilts?
A palapita?
You have thought a lot about your dream, haven't you?
It all sounds wonderful, I hope some day you will also manifest that. It also sounds like quite an adventure and an interesting story. Have you ever thought of writing down the story of your move, like your memoirs? You sound like you have a wonderful heart, and are very kind with your words; I'm sure that you could fill whole notebooks, not just a few pages, with your thoughts. You should do it! Your grandchildren and their descendants will appreciate it.
And feed these hungry Nomads little bits of information. They drool when they hear from people that love Baja like you do. Take your time. Tell your story in bits and pieces...

... and keep on dreaming - that is the power of creation...
