The Old Farmers Almanac has predicted 50 years of a cooling trend for the planet! I would believe THAT before ... well, you know!;D

Look at FDT's chart, it clearly shows a rising trend in temperatures. You can't compare one day, or one week, to anything other than it is what it is.

Why do some people always have to politicize everything? The weather is nice right now, enjoy it! If you want to talk about Al Gore, take it to off topic.

"Look at FDT's chart, it clearly shows a rising trend in temperatures..."

The chart shows 1979 to 2008... Do you know that the world didn't begin in 1979? I was born in 1957... on this planet I think! It was here before 1979.

29 years of temperatures is NOTHING compared to 4 BILLION years+ of earth history... or even 10,000+ years of human activity... How long has it been since the thermometer was invented and we started recording temperatures?

Does the chart show sunspot activity over the same period of time, does it explain anything? Does it show only the summer or winter temps., or just mashes the entire years' temps to make it look chaotic?

Would it surprise anyone to know that the temperature staying the same year after year is NOT NORMAL??? Everything runs in cycles, and man has not been around recording temperatures long enough to even know if we are in a normal warming OR cooling cycle.

We do know there was an ice age during man's time on earth and sea levels were lower 10,000-25,000 years ago... It was short lived compared to previous ice ages... We have been warming ever since with a few 'blips' of cold for good measure. There was a cold blip in the 60's (it snowed in San Diego, and I played in it)... then back to warming... cooling, warming... Last winter was the coldest in memory for many with record snowfalls in many parts of the world...

Those that have something to gain by promoting 'Global Warming' hysteria simply shrug the cooling off as "part of the climate change caused by man".

Once again, change is NORMAL and man has very little to nothing to do with it and can no more reverse a climatic event than can he stop a volcano from erupting (one of which produces many times more ozone depleting gasses than man could ever attempt to make).

Nature will always be control and man can only adapt to it.
