Everybody playing nice?
Just dropped in and site seems civilized again. Went to member list and saw why. Also clicked on some of the www sites listed after new members (pg
97). Don't think they are really interested in Baja!!
Anyhow, be good to get involved in Nomads again. Lots of nice folks and our winter in La Paz is coming up. Hope to post more info on remote
areas/visitas/historical places while down there.

Jack,
I believe the rules now require you to post a pic of a smiling dog in each post

Hi Jack,
I am looking forward to seeing new photos of historic sites!
New Nomads... see what Jack likes to do in Baja... like me, find old sites and share them with fellow enthuisiasts BEFORE they disappear!

Also, most of the mission photos are from Jack at: http://vivabaja.com/bajamissions

Jack, I was just thinking how the site has "morphed" over the past couple of years. I for one miss J.R. and his "shake up's" they were most always
Baja related and kept the juices flowing on the board. (Look out you Chicken Coopers). It kind of has a life of its own with different views coming
and going....seems latley to be less "baja" than before. Or maybe thats just me. Still great people and a prime source for information.

Jack, happy to report I'm doing research now for a short piece about the cave paintings/new technology. Scientists world wide are about to make news
about big, bold happenings in central Baja California. And, if they won't do it, I will.

Please don't tell us that the Cartels are involved in the cave paintings

Hi Jack-
Glad to have you back around. I'll never forget the hospitality your late brother, Doug, shared with me so many moons ago back in the Amigos days.
Looking forward to hearing about your La Paz adventures.

Maybe we really can treat it like a "beach bonfire"
Still a few mouthy kids show up now and then,
but that happens at every bonfire, doesn't it.
Nice to know that the "nasties" and the "wood-kickers" have gone into hibernation, let's hope they stay there.
and yeah, nice to have you back, amigo!!

It was nice that both Jack and Doug Swords came to meet us at Viva Baja #1, too! Doug's passing was a shock at so young... He was a moderator on Fred
Metcalf's Baja Ca Travelers Message Board along with Tim Walker and Dick Van Bree.

Jack Swords is behind Amo Pescar's head, on the left... Amo is talking to Doug Means (Baja Nomad) and Kacey Smith (Baja GPS Guide)

Alejandra took the photos that night and she only got the back of Doug Sword's head in this photo of him talking to Kris (Baja Hwy./ La Tijareta) and
Juan del Rio (Scorpion Bay).
Viva Baja I was in October, 2000.

I took a little break from the site for a few weeks when people were rude and obnoxious. It does seem to better these days...
