Humor - Mexican vs Caucasian Wedding (Warning, Not Politically Correct)

This was sent to me by a Mexican friend.

Mexican Vs White (Caucasian) Weddings

WHITES: Send out invitations.

MEXICANS: Send out maps.

WHITES: Receive their invitations three months in advance.

MEXICANS: Find out about the wedding 3 hours before.

WHITES: Have seven bridesmaids.

MEXICANS: Have forty-seven Padrinos (sponsors).

WHITES: RSVP their invitation.

MEXICANS: Show up with three car loads, and are waiting for the rest of their family that got stuck at the train station.

WHITES: Go to the wedding AND the reception.

MEXICANS: Just go to the reception.
AND AT THE HOUSE PARTY AFTER

WHITES: Have elegant food.

MEXICANS: Have arroz, frijoles and brisket.

WHITES: Order the cake from a bakery.

MEXICANS: Have their cake done by la señora down the street.

WHITES: Eat the food and cake.

MEXICANS: Eat the food and cake...AND take some home para la familia that couldn't make it.

WHITES: At the reception, they drink wine

MEXICANS: At the reception, they drink Coors, Budweiser. Bud Light, Bud Ice, Corona , Tecate, Pacifico, Casadores, Patron, Presidente, Jose Cuervo Gusano's, Reposado, and whatever else could fit in the cooler they bought at HEB

WHITES: Relatives get drunk and pass out.

MEXICANS: Get drunk, shed a few tears and start singing to Vicente Fernandez songs, tell you they love you sooooo much, fight with you, then pass out.

WHITES: Dance at the party...YEAH RIGHT!!!

MEXICANS: Dance at the party to Norteñas, Rancheras, Reggae, Rap,Old school, Oldies, etc.

WHITES: Party ends at midnight.

MEXICANS: Party ends when the COPS show up.

WHITES: Wake up the next morning NOT WANTING another beer.

MEXICANS: Wake up the next morning still holding a beer.

Now, you know you were laughing - cuz you've done at least 6 of these. I sure have!!!

Send this to all of those to those who have a sense of humor and are Proud to be MEXICAN and to the Gringos who love you for being a MEXICAN!

My family is going through a wave of Quincearas (sp?) withe the young ladies. The list is pretty much interchangeable for that occasion too!

Great post. How true, how true.
Loved the one about the party ending when the cops show up.
Prior to my retirement, when I would get a call to the barrio about a loud Mexican wedding party, the offending party giver would always bring me inside, introduce me to the wedding couple, offer me a cerveza, a tequila shooter and a plate full of great Mexican food. Couldn't do the alcohol, :no:but can they ever cook!:lol::biggrin::lol::biggrin::lol:

So long as this thread is so loving (yet politically incorrect) I must submit ( and please don't flame me) the following
" busier than..."one liner that I really like (my love for my Mexican neighbors is well known) because it fits.

"Busier than the jumper cables at a Mexican wedding."

laughable

my big bro has some great one liners....

He is a co owner of our Baja hideaway and loves our local friends and neighbors (almost) as much as I do....

It is with humor, but not disrespect that he says:

"Shakin' like the Mexican Space Shuttle"

which is right up there with:

"Shakin' like a cold Chihuahua"

I think we need some of our Mx. National Nomads to join in here.... I'm sure there are a few great gringo jokes we should all be laughing to also !

My old friend Jack :saint: (RIP) whom I made a few early trips to Baja with used to say:

"No point in taking life too seriously, 'cause you'll never get out of it alive ! "

Its all just stuff and some numbers.
A day spent sailing isn\'t deducted from one\'s life.
