Pre-Printed E-Tickets not allowed at Cabo Airport
Hi Fellow Nomads,
Whenever we travel from San Francisco to Cabo Airport and vice versa we always printout an E-Ticket within 24 hours of the flight and only have carry
on (never check in baggage). This way we bypass the check in counter and go straight to the gate.
Well this last trip in August while trying to go up the ramp to the security line at the Cabo airport coming back to SFO we were stopped and informed
those E-Tickets needed to be exchanged at the counter (not gate) for a boarding pass. Thank goodness the line was short otherwise we would of missed
our flight as we had not planned for this.
Wanted to inform others of this change. In the past we were allowed to bypass the counter and go straight to the gate at the Cabo airport with a
pre-printed E-Ticket. No mas. No one explained why the change. No problem using pre-printed e-tik at SFO airport.

That is a very stupid procedure, enforced by those who don't care for customer service. There are better ways. Is this rule enforced by the airport
or each airlines has its own procedure?

We didn't have checked bags only carry on. When we went to the counter to exchange our e-tikky for a boarding pass no one asked to look through our
carry on at the counter where folks usually check in their bags.

Agreed stupid and very poor custom service. This rule was enforced at bottom of the ramp before you walk up to go through security check point so I
imagine it is a cabo airport rule.

The way to do it is to go online before you go to airport. You can check in and get your boarding pass. This will allow you up the ramp. Then show
pass port at gate check in.

To clarify, I did go online within 24 hours prior to flight, checked in, confirmed seating assignment and printed out the 'boarding pass' from the
E-Ticket info. This printout was not accepted. I had to go back to the front counter where folks check in their baggage and get an 'official' print
out of a boarding pass not one from a laser printer.
