Mexico Living (new magazine)

While this is clearly real estate driven with a lot of fluff, there is some excellent information in this new publication. It covers Rosarito, Ensenada, San Felipe and Punta Penasco. There are maps of each area in each edition, a yellow pages directory, and some great tips for rookie and veteran visitors (and full-timers) alike. You can read the whole thing on-line.

When you bring up that link, use the menu at the top to put it in full screen.

Interesting, on page 7 it states that you need a temporary import permit for your vehicle below Ensenada/San Felipe.

It's always been my understanding that such a permit is not required for all of Baja...

Haven't had a bad trip yet....

There is no permit required in Baja. Only if you cross over to the mainland do you need this permit.

However, what do I know?

A case of a writer talking about doing something he never did? :no:

The peninsula is a special region of Mexico that does not need a car permit.

I find it sad that it is 'real estate driven' ... :no: What about Baja? :o

That's an understatement. :spingrin::spingrin:

Nonetheless, they have a nice online edition. Thanks. ;D

Sheesh. I looked at it. It's a magazine for Americans living in Baja that shows them how to avoid doing any business with Mexicans and just patronize other American expats.

I'd suggest you contact the publishers. They are very open to comments!
