I once talked with surfers south of San Quintin who, when the water was flat, kicked rocks looking for scorpions...they then mixed up fiberglass resin
and cut a Tecate can to make a shallow cup....plunked the critter in the can, and poured the resin in.
It made a clear "puck" that was suitable for adorning any part of your house, trailer, tent, table,,,,,
As for the "amber", true amber is fairly rare and is petrified sap/resin.....MANY folks will buy fake amber (ie. plastic ) thinking it is the real
stuff
Don't believe everything you think....

I bought some amber in Chiapas not long ago and was told that if you light a match to it true amber won't melt.

Goldfish
A few years back when I was working on my social skills, I bought two exotic, Chinese goldfish. You know. The kind that waddles when they swim.
They are fun to watch as they get older. They are such gluttons that they overeat and fill up with air or gas or maybe both. Anyway, the eventually
turn belly up, but still alive. They can live for months or even years that way, swimming upside down.
Better than TV!

That would explain the "petrified" part.
