Rumors about La Capella

Heard yesterday that this resort is giving back down payments as they have closed shop. Rumor control also has the Rancho Buena Vista closing withing months.
My understanding is that the owners are from NC. Cant help but wonder if they had money in Wachovia, which failed. Stocks now worth $0.
Can anyone from the Los Barilles area confirm these rumors?

I can say that the La Capilla rumor has been circulating for some time now and is generally thought to be true.

STOP THE RUMOR MILL.
Hotel Rancho Buena Vista is open. Our Bar is still serving the best margarita on the East Cape, with the same bartenders. We have shut down our restaurant for the winter months, but we will still rent rooms without meals included in the rate! All of the meetings that are currently being held at Rancho are still welcome! Please contact Christi at christi@ranchobuenavista.com or 141 01 77 if you need any additional information.

Walked up the beach to the bar @ Rancho Buena Vista the 11th or 12th of October and the bartender told me that they had no guests until sometime the following week.
The bar was open, and that's what counts. At least for a thirsty beachcomber. The Pacifico was good and cold.
Will go check it out again late next week when we get down there.
