One thing I have learned is that so many of the Gringo locals are wanted in the states !!!! Although as one friends ex wife put it, " or not WANTED stateside"!:lol:

I think there are much better places for US fugitives than Mexico. Mexico has an extradiction treaty with the US and mexican officials will readily extradict.

I found that to often be
the case. This was back in the 'day',
whether it was La Paz or Vallarta,
the local gringo 30 - 40 yr. olds,
seems like there was an unspoken
rule during the bar conversations
to not dig too much into anothers
life, you just didn't ask too
many questions. Also ran into
a few who it appeared as their
stateside families supported them
just to stay away
