El Sudcaliforniano says no whales yet.
This article says that the gray whales have not arrived yet. Probably because of the warm waters late into the season.

edit to put the whales back in the closet where they belong

Yes, leaping humpbacks were out there yesterday. Haven't seen a lot yet this year, but a handful of them are seen most days now. This off the coast of
San Jose del Cabo.
No b-tchin\' in the Baja.

That is surprising because there were a few early birds swimming south in front of our house in October----only saw a few.
Thanks for the info.

DK:I seriously doubt that Sudcaliforniano is part of the media hysterics you are always talking about over global warming.
I had no hidden agenda for posting this...just thought that it was an interesting observation.

The only thing I am interested in is whether YOU have seen Gray whales in Baja this season. You obviously haven't. You have nothing to add to this
topic so butt out.
I live on the beach in Los Cabos and I haven't seen any Grays yet this season.
If you want to talk about the veracity of newspapers in Mexico, start another thread!

Since most gray whale don't go beyond the three primary destinations of Scammon's Lagoon, San Ignacio Lagoon, Magdalena Bay I am not surprised YOU
haven't seen any... However, even 'rob' who lives west of La Paz has seen some... can you see his post?
In case you can only read what I post, here is rob's: "I sometimes wonder about elsudcalifornia . . . whales have been swimming past the ranch since

We are talking about Grays! Yes there are a few Humpbacks, but El Sud was not talking about Humpbacks.
I was out in the islands off La Paz for 4 days two weeks ago on the boat. Didn't see one whale of any species. Doesn't mean they weren't there, but
I didn't see any evidence of them.
Take your ranting to off topic.

Oxxo the islands off La Paz are about 1000 miles from the lagoons where the grays are destined at this time?
DK made a clear point about factual errors in the syndicated news story. Obviously elsudcalifornianos are syndicating the media machine.
Not too worry all is well, just that its clear you can't believe what you read in the news apparently, not at all.

Pick and choose what you want to read and to believe, oxxo and 666...
The facts don't change because the news reports something different...
Rob (who lives on the coast west of La Paz) know what gray whales are, I am sure ... Shari for sure know them!!!
I will believe Rob and Shari over Sudcalifornia any day!
That you both are stuck on insults and reading issues says volumes!
Have a nice day!

Bickering is better than soft-balling a bunch of lies...
I have come to really appreciate DK's detail and information and everyone's posts which far exceed the accuracy of published news journals. So YAY

and all because I simply made a comment about the paper's motive in posting a false story... LOL
Sad that points of view that differ from the left, are shouted down. What happened to open mindedness and those freedoms liberals claim to charish
so?
Anyway, keep on posting what the local paper puts out Judy, otherwise the lies will become truth! I removed some of my replies to clean up the
thread... if oxxo and 666 remove theirs, I will remove all my replies to them.

I don't think the paper deliberately posted a false story. Maybe they just forgot to get you to fact check the story?
