Crazy trip planned!

Okay, I should be leaving Friday after work and will begin one of my most exciting Fishbuck Adventures yet!
I've been really wanting to get back to B. Asuncion to see Juan and Shari and try and catch a couple more fish before the year is out.
I know I've been a little quiet about my efforts to find a beautiful Mexican girlfriend/wife but I'm still trying. I lost my first one so I've been licking my wounds a little.
But I'm back!
I met a really beautiful girl on line and we've been flirting. Problem is she lives in Guanajuato.(Why do all the really beautiful ones live soo far away?)
Guanajuato is like 1500 miles from my house. That's like trying to date a girl who lives in Chicago from L.A. Too far for me to drive in my truck.
So I get an email from her that she will be in Sonora for Christmas. I'm no genius when it comes to Mexican geography but I know that is closer. Her dad lives in C. Obregon.
There must be a God because I will be at B. Asuncion at the same time. I figure I can scoot over to Santa Rosalia and catch the ferry to Guaymas and C. Obregon is very close.
And maybe I will even have some atún fresco to share with her and her familia.
Best christmas ever!!!

Will you be home (San Q) on next Saturday. I'll probably spend the night at La Villa before heading to B. Asuncion on Sunday morning.
With luck I'll be fishing next sunday afternoon!

Hey Buck-

There are plenty of nice ladies in Asuncion...not sure why you'd want to drive all the way to Sonora when you have fresh tuna in Asuncion.

Slow boat to GUAYMAS!

Did you know... it takes 8-9 hours to cross from Santa Rosalia to Guaymas?

That long of a boat ride normally requires a bunk and when I wake up there better be a big school of tuna fish under the boat. And a bait tank for of sardines!

I'm not sure I can do it.

The only way this will work is if it is at night and I can sleep in a bunk on the way across.

Man this is killing me.

It might be smarter to fish at B.Asuncion and drive home for Christmas (Costa Mesa,Ca) and then drive to TJ for an airplane ride. It can't be more than 2 hours in a jet. That I can do!

9 hours on a ferry boat??? There must be a better way!

I have talked to a few who have made that specific ride and the general consensus is that if you are outgoing you will have the opportunity to meet folks and talk along the way. It still is a long ride however.

In your shoes I would consider the Tijuana-Cd Obregon flight option as that will leave you more time to spend with "la candidata". I also think that most women find it romantic to go to the airport and wait (anxiously) for you to arrive.

Just my dos centavos my friend...

One of my work friends suggests Atlantic Bv in Long Beach.
I'm sure there are some pretty ones.
There seems to be a big difference between the ladies north and south of the border.
This is all part of the adventure anyway.
I'd rather visit Guaymas than Pico Rivera.

You are right about that Cat. I've been in contact with some of the most beautiful ladies I have ever seen from Colombia.
Problem is how far away. When you get to Florida you're about half way there.
I can't give up on Baja and mainland Mexico yet.
