Love it!!!

What I can't figure is if low sales are the problem... why doesn't congress just buy up their inventory of unsold cars with our tax money? Then we have new vehicles for government agencies and extras could be raffled off in a national lottery!!

We are just going to give them money and they still have those unsold cars, doing nothing!??:wow:

If it was put in off Topic many people would miss it, not good.

I was surprised about that when I got my 07. But in thinking about it my 93 never had the rear drum shoes replaced in 144,000 miles. Front disc about every 30,000 to 40,000 miles.

And speaking of disc brakes my wifes 98 Acura has had the rear disc pads replaced twice in 70,000 miles and the front once.

DEEETROIT IRON

I read...and heard on the radio...from reliable sources that last year both Toyota and GM sold 9.3 million vehicles world wide. GM lost $38 Billion and Toyota made $17 Billion. I also heard that in every DEETROIT vehicle's price there is $1500 for "legacy" benefits....lots of it for "laid off" workers who get 95% of their working pay not to work etc. etc.

If you were CEO of a company which made $55 Billion less than your main competitor in one year doing the same business you would be FIRED! and run outa town. You sure wouldn't (shouldn't) be invited to tell a bunch of congressmutts and senateturds how badly you needed to be bailed out.

I heard a good idea the other day....kinda like some of those above. This one was that the damned gummint should give us all a TAX HOLIDAY...two months with no Fed or State withholding of anything...no FICA, no income tax...nothing. The money would be instantly in the hands of somebody who could use it productively and not in the hands of those MUTTS above.....who will, and have, and want to missuse it.

Anybody pull 10k worth of trailer at least 1000 miles in summer heat with their TOYota yet? I went from Denver to Wahweap in one day this summer with an 8 year old Ford truck with 140k miles. Once we cleared the Divide, temps were 90-100 all the way. Even took it through Monument Valley for some hill-climbing in heat.

Toyota builds a good product, but until it has the capability to do the things that so many of us ask of their trucks, it's not a fair comparison.

I've had some minor issues with my truck but it tackles jobs Toyotas cant even get a whiff of.

I hear there is a Tundra diesel coming out in late 09 or 2010. An Isuzu/Toyota engine, supposedly. Definitely will be sold in the US.
