Mexicali immigration hour

Can you get a FMT 24/7 at the old Mexicali crossing?

Yes, but unclear about a 24/7 bank teller to pay for one (for over 7 day stay) as there is in Tijuana... 7 days or less, there is no charge.

The new East Port has them and the bank is only open 8am to 4pm when I got mine last year. Get to the lane far right when going in and when you drive up right next to the covered building with the inspectors on your left say immigration and point in front of you, this will have them wave you on. Find any spot next to the little line of offices. The bank is the second from the end as you first drive in. They will take your money and send you back over to the building you first past by driving past the inspectors under the covered port to get your FMT. It is better to get there early and for a while all of the people bringing cars in to sell really jammed it up for a while. People in bank very nice and speak English and Immigration officials also very helpful no problems.

Hi,

I'm not familiar with crossing at Calexico. I'm looking at google maps. Is the East Port you guys are talking about the one to the East of Calixico a few miles or so at Hwy 7?

Thanks!
