Do they know it's christmas-time at all...

Everything in TJ and Rosarito seems so bleak this Christmas. No decorations, no lights, no houses decorated either. It looks like Christmas will just be another day here of rain, wind and mud.

Anyone seen the Baja Christmas spirit out there?

Decorations are all over the place. What areas do you visit?

These observations are consistent with your on-going view of Baja.

Lots of lighting where I go.

Lights all over my neighborhood in Ensenada, more than last year. Not my house. I got my light bill in Jan. 07 and decided not again!

Come to Mexicali, lots of lights, people walking and plenty of goodies on the street to eat...

I understand about the electricity rates jumping last month. We threw some lights over a palm tree this year- but nothing fancy. Our neighbors didn't put anything up at all. They even used to decorate the oil tankers this time of year.

We've never seen so many lit up houses at night at Xmas in our area! It's a true delight to go out after dark...when it's not raining!

Glad to hear that TJ and Ensenada are lighting up for the Holidays.

Here in San Antonio del Mar, just north of Rosarito, we have noticed a big drop in the number of homes that have decorated for the season.
