OK almost there...

At the last minute it looks like I'll be doing a solo. Cathy has TOO much on her plate and can't in good conscience take the time so I'm off to salvage the place in San Nicolas'.

It'll save me on Kleenex anyway.:(

So, fellow travelers. I'll probably cross Tuesday morning at Tecate. Keep an eye out for me. My cell is 530-859-2759
and this is what I'll look like.

We just got home from Grass Valley late last night. I'm in the process of packing the truck, washing clothes, headed to a number of stores and then we're out bright and early tomorrow via San Ysidro. Don't need to get FMTs for this trip so it should be smooth sailing.

Looking forward to some empty highway after the crowds I faced yesterday on I-5.

Vag arrived safe and relatively sound...he's a gentleman and a scholar and fit right in at the New Year's campfire...great to meet yet another Nomad.

The last I saw Vag was at dusk last night...the 3 stooges were silouetted on the beach...giggling while reeling in corvina and croakers every cast as dark set in. We all sat around Timo's famous campfire most of the day...a wonderful way to enjoy the first day of the new year....good amigos, cold tecates and fishing....ahhhh....baja.....
