Joint Operating Enviornment Report
JOE, a department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Military have suggested in a report that Pakastan and Mexico could fall under the pressure of the
Drug Cartel. Our military is gearing up to fill in gaps with ICE if the drug war should spill over into U.S. land. The situation in Mexico has risen
to a high level---just as it did in Columbia. President Caldaron is committed to stopping the violence in every way possible but he and his military
may be outgunned. JOE feels the next two year are crutial to Mexico's war on drugs. What do you think?

I think that anyone saying they KNOW what is going to happen is blowing hot air. Right now it's all pure speculation by some worse
case scenario planners. I went out and bought fish tacos today and didn't have to duck even one single bullet or step over any decapitated bodies.
Tomorrow I am taking my chances on a run for some tequila for some afternoon Cadillac's. Anybody else feeling so lucky???

If you read the JOE (all 56 pages). They readilly acknowledge the difficulties in stratigic planning. This particular report attempts to forcast 25
yeArs out and they cite stratigic forcasts in the 20th century and how difficult and inaccurate that has been. All that been said it is a worthwhile
read.

It's a problem when any agency tries to be intellectual. Worse yet, when the media feels the need to run with a story. Mexico and Pakistan have so
little in common. Pakistan is a most decidely third world country with tremendous sectarian and tribal issues. Mexico is something other than a third
world country that has major issues of distribution of wealth, but has been on the right track. Pakistan has nuclear capability. Mexico has Tequila.
In the case of both countries, a vast amout of their revenue is based on the trafficking of so-called illicit drugs. You can't profit from illicit
drug trade unless there's a market for them. Guess what? We got geldt!

this is why we leave politics and foreeign policy to the legislative and exec branches of government, and we don't let the military dabble in foreign
policy.
it's scary when we allow the military to think and express opinions.
yes we can!
yes we did!
peace out!
