BOLA SUPPORT--????

For the last fifteen or so years my wife and I have actively been supporting several projects in the Bay of Los Angeles aka BOLA.

We have managed to slip across the border about 30 + cases of new text books and a a brand new Sears Air conditioning for their library. As the Librarian Luz Maria exclaimed "!Automatico!" when she was explained the remote control feature. We also paid two locals $40.00 to install the AC in the library or so we were informed and paid on a later trip.

For their health care needs we have taken copious amounts of supplies; bandages, various medications and occasional surgery pacs.

We also discovered that CVAs were a very common occurrence in that area and the clinic was in dire need of a defibrillator. We managed to acquire a brand new one in the US that featured both written and verbal instructions in Spanish which we acquired at a wholesale cost of $5600.00. With baited breathe we also some how managed to sneak it across with out detection.

It has come to out attention that a less than reputable long term residences in that area have been taking credit for our donations. I some how suspect most of you who live there know the couple in question

Please be advise they had absolutely nothing to do with the above donations and we have severed all connections with them which will come to light in a later thread

Sadly their actions has caused the BOLA Clinic and Library to loose a certain amount of much needed support.

Sounds like a couple of people need to be denounced in a community setting and embarrassed beyond belief. No rough stuff though.

The locals of BOLA know the names and the disreputable reputation of the couple-- that is all that matters

Well, I know very little, or nothing, of the politics in Bay of Los Angeles, but I do know that in our little village of San Lucas, that Dean Miller and his wife have been very instrumental in getting school supplies, equipment, and tuition for a large group of the students. If they were willing and able to provide our community this kind of support, I have no doubt whatsoever that they did the same kind of thing with BOLA.
It is indeed unfortunate that people are so unfulfilled that they would try to steal or otherwise undermine that effort in their own pitiful attempt at "gaining the glory".

Dean
Just curious, but how did it come to your attention that S and D are taking credit for your donations? I haven't heard about this.
