Traveller having fun(not missing)

Thanks to all who took the time to read and post re my worries , Jim has been located and apparently is fine , Now , for the other side , you folks are a lucky bunch to be able to enjoy a different world in Mexico , but for us stuck back at home , all we hear about lately is kidnappings , carjackings and corrupt police together with rampant imaginations . So, if you have people that care about you back home , drop a couple of words once in a while (you Have the time!} just to keep these imaginations under control , yes its our problem , but please help us with it? love , Cervesa's{?}, and happy trails , Matt

I'm happy for Jim and Sadie, but he clearly has people back home that care about him that need to be contacted a little more often than every two months (and counting). I dont get that he realizes this. Is it really too much to ask to get within range of some kind of signal and drop two words.........."doin' fine"? Doesn't even have to be voice to voice anymore, if he wants to just "be alone" .

The times, they are a-changin'................this isnt your father's Mexico anymore. It is unrealistic to expect that people won't worry when you are gone. We all need to remember this.........especially those of us who plan of being gone for longer than a couple weeks.

I completely agree with Shari.............it's time for coming together, to use yet ANOTHER 60's line.

Glad your efforts were rewarded, Matt. Just want to echo what you are saying.

Me too.

Most are positive. We just post and read all the negative ones. The board provides a great service for that sort of thing but may give a slanted impression (especially to newbies) about baja travel.

It would be interesting to hear Jim's take on all this.

Thank God!

I sure hope they find the other missing people, hopefully alive, especially the little girl from California.

I have a friend, Pedro, who is rumored to have been murdered in baja.

Every time I go to TJ or other parts of Mexico ppl up here are scared they'll never see me again but I'm braver than most ppl 'cept for my 'spidey' phobia.

Shame on Jim. Hook is absolutely correct.
