KSDM-MMSF-MM58

That's pilot code for a trip from San Diego(Brown Field)-San Filepe-Guerrero Negro. It will take 2.5 hours. 1 hour to MMSF and 1.5 hours to MM58.

I don't have anyone else to go. But I'm getting the crazy idea to go alone. I like flying by myself. I just don't like paying for it all by myself!
But I might.

The weather looks so good. 80 and partly sunny.

So maybe I'll skip a few days of work and blow $1000 on a trip. I mean it's flying a plane. To see whales. And play on the beach a little. And party with friends!

That is living!

I could use a trip.

When you have time (like now), you don't have money (not working)!:wow:

It really isn't fair!:(

I don't really have the time or money. I should probably work this weekend and start saving for another trip.
But I still want to go!

I know some of you are tired of me trying to sell my trip. But I still want to go!
I could just go to San Diego and fly!
Or I could work Friday and leave early Saturday. Whale watch Sunday morning and fly home in the afternoon.
If I go alone that's the best because I don't miss work.
The weather forcast is unreal. 85 during the day and tonight it was 71. At night! I could camp!
On Sunday the sky will be mostly sunny. Clear blue sky all the way from Bahia Asuncion to San Diego! Maybe a few high clouds.
The wind is calm!
I need to bring atleast one fishing rod! Maybe catch a nice halibut from the beach!
I think I'm going to do it!

fish, wait and go when you can take a few days off work. Trying to cram Baja into 2 days isn't worth it. It will cost the same for the plane if you stay 1 day or 1 week. If you try to force a Baja trip in 2 days you will get home tired and frustrated by all the things that you didn't have time to do.

Wish I could go with you, maybe some time when we can stay a week. Maybe we can take both planes and a few people and fly formation....you'll have to slow down a bit so that I can keep up though.

If you go have fun and be carefull.....dt

Ya thanks for bumping my thread!

It's a tough decision but I'm not going. I contacted my friends and it seems that the party has been moved to next weekend and a new location.
So this trip fizzled out. It happens.
Even though it's frustrating to not go it's fun planning and preparing anyway.
Dreaming about Baja is not as good as being in Baja but still fun.
Maybe I'll change the trip to San Ignacio lagoon. We can fly right to it and land there. Or maybe Camp Rene.
So I guess I better call and remove myself off the schedule.

So for anyone in Baja... enjoy! And for the rest of us... keep dreaming!

Well according to Webster's, "goofy" means:

: being crazy, ridiculous, or mildly ludicrous : silly

On the other hand, he might have been referring to this:

So you let your dog jump off a 100 foot cliff? Nice job caring for your pet.
Why not just let him play on the freeway?
