Shari, at OUR age, I am starting to ignore the birthdays !!
And why do you look so much younger than I do when we're the same age ?
Have a blast this weekend; wish I could be there for the spankings !
Do they do spankings in Mexico ?

First a belated Happy Birthday to you shari. I know you cherish your birthdays spent in Baja as I do mine.
Now here's another special 'burro' for you...
...and for you, too, Bajagypsy.
Made to go at the Mulege 'Y'...the famous Burro Torta.
p.s. You also share this birthday with another Nomad...mulege marv. Cheers to both of you!

Shari,
I checked out your burrito link, and my very favorite is the adult grey dunn. He/she has zebra like stripes on it's legs and a dark stripe down it's
back. That is my choice, if only it were a little baby. Any chance of any little ones with that same coloring?

Shari,
Thanks to you and Juan for your gracious help and introduction to your precious community in Asuncion, may it survive the coming (paved
road...changes). Your local contacts made my stay infinitely more helpful and welcoming. Hope you feel well soon and Juan resolves the silly permit
issues.
My most grateful thanks for your welcome to Asuncion.

And the birthday beat goes on (as Nancy sinatra might sing)...I wonder if we can stretch this thread out all month?
Woo hoo...Mulege Marv shares the same birthday...no wonder he is such a party animal!
Paulina...the gorgeous classic Burro DOES have a little one and you can just see his stripes through his baby fluffy fur...he is really sweet
too...they need to nurse another couple weeks and then you can come for him...gotta reserve him though cause lots of nomads are lining up for them
now!!! 500 pesos for non residents.

Shari,
If only I could! I am curious about the laws regarding import and export of equine animals.
Our 5 yr. od Quarter horse horse "Handy" stepped on a 16 penny nail yesterday while being worked at a canter in the round barn. (very mad at the barn
owner) The nail went straight into the navicular bursa. The outlook isn't good.
I planned on him being a forever horse and joining me in Baja for good in 5 years. That is why I'm WAS trying to find the laws regarding taking him
with.
Think good horsey thoughts for him, por favor!

ps. Don't tell Dern about the burrito business. He'll never let me go back to Asuncion!

Oh Paulina, i am soooo sorry for your horse....I have been so broken hearted by losing horses which is why I'm gonna try burros now. I'm sure there
are quarentine laws...guess you will just have to move to baja full time for your burro....you can borrow ours any time....I can see new business
ventures emerging...rent a burro...rent one of these cuties for your vacation...baja kids would LOVE IT!

Shari, funny you should mention that..."se renta burro" would probably work. Guard burros, hang out around camp burros, pack burros for walking
excursions, or just plain driving around with one in the back of the truck like the locals do.
You've got another branch of your business in the making.
A few years ago I tried to rent a burro from a ranch in Bahia. It would have been for my kids to love on for Spring Break. My offer was refused, even
when I raised my price, and finally even asked what they wanted for a ten day loan of the beast.
They said no, because they planned to eat it.
There was more than one burro in the batch so I asked if they could plan their burro feast for after his stay with us and they said no, they were
afraid the burro would become attached and end up liking humans, making it more difficult for them to shoot it.
They probably just thought I was crazy.

On edit: Thank you Shari for your good horse thoughts. I knew you would understand.
