Radar on the 4 lane between San Jose and San Lucas

The plywood Federal Cruiser was unceremoniously removed after several weeks sitting along the 4 lane between San Jose and San Lucas. Someone had keyed the length of it and it left an ugly scar. Then some vandals tagged it with graffiti. It was looking pretty tired and sorry and was becoming a laughing stock. I miss that piece of urban art.

Now real Federal officers with real Dodge Charger cruisers are using hand held radar along the 4 lane and they are pulling people over right and left. I got "pinged" the other day and was going exactly at the speed limit (80 kph).......without even touching my brakes!

I support the Federales efforts. That 20 mile stretch of road has been really racking up the road kills recently. Time that some sanity returned to the speeds along there.

Yes I have seen them, but with my little sidekick, I can hardly make 70 up hill.
Nice if it would slow people down and bring accidents down.

Passed the same guy a few times this week. Even though he whipped his gun out, he did not stop the burb that flew past me!

As oxxo points out, that stretch of highway has been a death corridor from the time they widened the road. Gotta ask why people think they have to do grand prix speed. It's not like they have to travel a huge distance. San Jose to San Lucas... is it going to matter if you make the trip in ten more minutes?
