Fabulous finds

On my trip to la mision yesterday, i did go to bobby's by the sea and although they have clams, the do not have clam tacos, so went on my way. so, stopped at the truck in cantamar that was mentioned in the past and had a fish taco...they did not have clams, however then decided to also get a cammaron taco and it was sooo good that i went back today to get another...and the truck was not there! so, then went on to primo tapia and found a nice little taco place where i got a beef taco and it was chock full of meat! and only one dollar! also stopped at the large grocery store in rosarito to get some of that great cake with whipped cream and it as wonderful, just like homemade, very moist. also, in rosarito, i found this great bakery that sells all pastry made with whole wheat and other healthy food products. u bought 4 pastries and it came to a little over $2.00. in the states each one would cost over $2! they had parking spaces in front just for that store and there was a man out front that asked me if i was going in...the curb was very high, so he just about lifted me up, and when i came out, he held my hand while i stepped down, stood behind me to make sure there was no traffic coming...he was sort of a parking attendant, even tho it was on the main street. the bakery is right across street from the large yellow store called ELECTRIK (I think).

then while looking for someone to put up my electric pole, level my mobile home, put in a septic tank i found this great guy and his prices were less than half than any other bids. he is doing some work for a man in the community, so he comes highly recommended. so, all in all, although very short, the trip was well worth the going.

i love exploring and finding places like this and would love to hear of other great finds.

diana

You didn't ask for clam tacos

You asked for fried clams. Bobby's doesn't serve Mexican food. It's one of the few reasons why I frequent the place.

Clam tacos? Hmmmmmm? Hmmmmmm? Ummmmmm.......Ummmmmm.....

Sounds odd to me but I'd like to hear more about them.. Would/do you put all the works on there. Queso? Pico de gallo? Pray tell.

Easy on the fried food girl, it is not good to eat every day.;D
