No, it's not you Skeet. This dubious distinction should go to a particular individual who never misses an opportunity to say something ugly - especially on the Off Topic. We all know who this is.

I agree with Packoderm. Your precious, SKeet. Write some books about your adventures. I'll be one that stands in line to buy it. I always look forward to your comments, and religious comments. Sorry I didn't get to know you when you were in Loreto. Then missed a couple chances when you returned to Loreto to visit.
And YES, we KNOW who "this is"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May you have many many more years of exciting adventures in your 'future' years ahead.

NAH. I'm one of the Nice Guys who believes in the Golden Rule.

Never Attack, Harm, Maim or Kill anyone who doesn't deserve it.

Since your quality is known by the quality of those who oppose you and mine are (for the most part) a bunch of Sewer-Dwelling ADDHD Dolts, it MUST be someone else they have in mind.

Those who disagree with me and don't fit the above are simply WRONG.

AND, I'll second the assessment of Skeet. Even in his pre-Alzheimer days he couldn't have qualified for WORST.

Skeet- You might be interested in what's going on in Turkey these days. Although the country is 95%+ Muslim, the constitution dating back to just after WWI, with the establishment of the Turkish Republic, banned virtually any public display of religion. That included the banning of headscarves for women and fez for men in any public building, including schools and universities. The current party in power, AKP, has been working to "liberalize" such laws, allowing for people to wear religious dress in public. In effect, it would move Turkey closer to the American model that allows free exercise of religion in a secular state. I bring this up because Obama is going to speak before the Turkish Parliament on Monday, and there is speculation that he may mention this issue.

Now, just because there are people who jump you when you bring up religion, doen'st mean that you don't have every right to do so.

Gees, here goes that list thing again---

Surely everyone would have different candidates for both the best and the worst list and in different order and with possible overlap---

Could get very complicated, and not very pretty.

I ought to get some sort of honorary mention for run on, complex sentences, verbosity, a Liberal Education and reverence for the Buddha. I don’t want Skeet and Bill to run away with all the recognition. I also rarely mention my love of fish tacos, sandy beaches, Pacifico (Nada Mas), yellow tail, Lobsters, Lion Paw Scallops, Baja buddies, etc. I could go on and usually do, but got to scoot. Did I mention my humility?? Probably.

OK, Who is it Skeet and Pacoderm? Name some names. I don't read all the posts so I really don't have a clue.

This should be brought out in the open!

Flyguy, we need you desparately! We need your mind, your words of wisdom, your broad world views. You help unbubbify some of us, make us better, make us reach a little higher. You remind us things like "a life unexamined..." you challenge us and most of the time in the framework of how we see Baja and how we see our selves in it. You are mirrorman in a world we can easily get lost in. You're on the top of my lists -- all of them.

My dear friend Skeet -

You are and always have been one of my favorites Nomads.
When I've asked you for advice about places we might not want to miss on our first small plane adventure in Baja - you were there for me. You told me where to go swimming with the (non-caged) dolphins. You were a good friend of my close friend Tucker, now crossed over.

Know this, Skeet.... when I'm ready for my next nekkid motorcycle adventure, you're the Nomad I'll be calling to accompany me on the other bike - honest.;D:lol::dudette:

Skeet..of course you're the 'worst' Nomad...

...because you choose to fight the good fight! Hell, you would have made a great Templar knight in the Crusades!

Whenever I read your posts about life in Loreto or Texas, I am reminded of a line penned by a favorite poet of mine, Raymond Inmon.

"If you are seeking creative ideas, go out walking. Angels whisper to a man when he goes for a walk."

Somehow, just somehow...;D.... I think you are the nomad who would be the most..shall we say receptive to angels? ...especially these days.

Hey, enjoy the award, you've earned it!

I agree, if you have to interact with a liberal, it is wonderful when you find someone with the intelligence to pull it off like the Flyfisherman. Most of the time you just get a screaming rant and rave when you say something negative about global warming or some other trashy idea, but here we actually get some thinking and a mind in the same package.
