There was a Yellowtail tournament a while back. No results, etc. posted. There was a pinto bass tournament, no results. There was a wet T-shirt contest at Jungla Jims. Don't even want to know. The place reminded me of "Happy Hour" at the assisted living home. :tumble:

Thats what I was thinking. I would think late June thru mid July would be better.

typically everyone is usually out of here the first week of june, so the delema is, do you have the tourney when the fishing is best or when there are still people here to fish ? this is not the bisbe, and usually the majority of anglers are locals. the fishing is usually fine that time of year givin the long liners, seiners, etc., havent shown up yet

End of May too early for dorado near Mulege? Not at all.

In years past from my fishing diary:

Earliest dorado.....March 15th, 1988 we caught scads of dorado off Ille Delfonso. True, they were smallish hens mostly, but still dorado. Catch and release. We were concentrating on jurel.

Latest dorado.....Dec 14th, 1999 ..caught many dorado in mouth of Conception Bay while trolling feathers for sierra, which also were abundant.
