Well, after thinking about it, why should I seem so surprised, as it is Mexico and it is the land of nothing surprises me!

With the above in mind, where do you fly into the new or old?

Thanks for the update.

it's actually a lot smoother than it sounds. I flew out of LTO last week. there were attendants in the road waving cars to the old terminal. you check in there, migracion is standing right next to the check in counter for the fm2, 3 papers. the airline clerk attaches tags to any checked baggage then you haul all luggage out to the curb and get into a shuttle van which takes you to the new terminal. (I don't know how long you have to wait til they get enough people to run it as I was forewarned and had my ride just wait at the curb and ferry me over).
at the new terminal, take the checked baggage to one place for xray and they whisk it away. take yourself and carry on to the gate, where you go through the usual xray scan of self and luggage, followed by a personal inspection of luggage.
that's it.
one hint...it's a lot cooler in the main area of the new terminal than the gate (but still a lot cooler than the old terminal) so don't go into gate area too soon.

reality\'s never been of much use out here...

Thanks,

I just bought a round trip ticket from Tampa to Loreto for my daughter in October for around $600 US.

Thanks! That seems pretty darn good!

It is. A lot of people complain about the prices, but a lot of people like to complain.

Thanks Pam for the thread....

...this post should be shown to Alaska, Delta, Volaris, a new, "Baja Airlines" start-up, Loreto business leaders, etc. It shows that it seems there is a real interest from the CENTRAL, “Baja Traveling “public to come to Loreto. It's a not really an indication of possible "lift", but...with almost 3,200 views and 63 posts at this point, there seems to be a very real interest from all of us in coming to Loreto from where ever we all come from at this point in time.

Thank goodness (it seems), "Baja Nomads" can agree on something (Maybe??? Who knows, we're all so independent).
