Sharks, I agree
Please dont encourage the eating of Marlin. I believe that it is illegal to serve it in restaurants. There are several here that we avoid for this
reason.
I have gotten hooked on gobenador(sp?) tacos....shrimp and cheese cooked together on the plancha and served on tortillas. I prefer harina.
Jesse
I agree also about a tortilla that falls apart. Why would you save tortilla that are stale? Can you say totopos?

Not meant to offend by mentioning them being on the menu. I am not encourging their consumption either!
Didn't know marlin was illegal to be served, they were mentioned here today as being on the menu at Bismark in La Paz. Are you sure on this?
They are served in many restaurants north of the Border as well, by the way.

Gobernador Taco
JR''s Tacp in Rosarito, on the ocean side of the free road, approximately one mile south of the Rosarito Beach Hotel.
IMHO (In My Humble Opinion) they are im the top list for serving the best fish and shrimp tacos in Baja. The shrimp and cheese quesadilla
(gobernador) is called "quesaron" and it is served with your choice of flour or corn tortilla.

Tacos are a very difficult subject to agree on, specially betwen Mexican and Americans. Its similar to talking about Hamburgers, we Mexicans have
limited exposure to this food, so we wouldn´t be able to pick up the little details that would make an American say "this is a great burger". A good
example of that, is that many americans think Tacos Rancho Viejo are great, while most Mexicans that i know think they are only edible after a night
of heavy drinking.
Well back to the subject, i have been told by many locals that many years ago, the old lady cook at Biscmarkcito was very good. She was pretty much
responsible for the popularity of the place, but i think she retired and rarely cooks anymore. On ocassions i have heard she still cooks, but
unfortunatelly all the times i have been there she hasnt manned the kitchen.

I give two thumbs up to Juniors. We found the restaraunt by accident/luck below Rosarito a couple of years ago on our way to a Book Signing Party at
the Pyramid.
Haven't had a bad trip yet....

It has always been my understanding that no sport fish is to be sold for commercial purposes. Do people obey this law...no way.

About two years ago, we stopped in for the first time at Bismark on the Malecon for fish tacos. We had heard good things posted about them on BN.
They said they were out of fish that day?????but said they had smoked Marlin tacos. I don't know if what they served us was Marlin, but it was awful!
I didn't finish mine. Service was bad and prices were relatively expensive compared to other local places. We have never been back and we will
never go back. As a restaurant, it ranks right there with Mama Espinosa's in El Rosario.
Catch and release billfish.

Shrimp? I'll take mine boiled, broiled, or fried. And any other way as long as they're cooked.
