Baja paperback: Bend To Baja

Bend to Baja documents a surf-inspired road trip along the West Coast of North America. In February 2005, Jeff Johnson, the Malloy brothers and their friends left Ventura, California for Bend, Oregon. From Oregon, the crew went south to the tip of Baja, looking for waves and rock climbing in a pickup truck converted to run on alternative fuel sources: veggie oil and bio-diesel.

Their story takes shape at patagonia.com as a multimedia Web site, complete with videos, slideshows, and stories. Keith, Dan, and Chris Malloy provide the subject matter for some stunning surf footage, while Jeff Johnson lends his pen for the story-telling, and Elissa Pfost and Geoff McFetridge grace the well-woven words with their unique original artwork.
