Speaking of DISH .................
I noticed today that at least ONE PPV Movie available (Gran Torino) has "limited recording" i.e. if recorded to the DVR, it is only available for 24
hours once playback begins. The time period to begin said playback is 11-09-09. Wonder if this is the future for their PPV offerings.
BTW, another "strange" thing happened today that I haven't encountered before. One receiver kept dropping off and re-acquiring. Checking the
transponder signal strength on one choice (119-03) I noted it was down from its usual 125 to around 60. Others also down quite a bit. Checked the
antenna and it hadn't moved. Went to another receiver working on a different antenna assembly and found the same thing. Signal strengths on various
transponders all down.
An hour later, ALL are back up. Apparently, a problem with DISH transmission ?

I agree with MrBillM........ (wow, did I really say that?!? )
...about the flexible morality. Pay for TV and then break the law speeding.
I really do follow all the speed limits and driving signs, I don't litter, I adopt abandoned animals and I volunteer or donate to many worthy causes.
I pay (WAY TOO MUCH) taxes and take every deduction possibe, but I don't falsify receipts. I can't speak for my neighbors who use fta, but I can
sleep at night.

I enjoyed the great depths that you all travel to justify your criminal activity. It is truely entertaining. I guess if you spew it enough, you begin
to believe it.

Personally................
AND, speaking only for myself, it's not so much that I've ever attempted to justify ANYTHING I've ever done. I simply do whatever I feel is in my
best interests tempered only by the likelihood of running afoul of the law or someone else's contrary opinion regarding that activity.
AND, I've never lost any sleep over it save those times when I was concerned about the knock on the door on some rather egregious occasions. Once
that passed, I slept OK.
But, that's just me.

Actually if, and it is a big IF, Dishnet ever has enough evidence to take you to a civil court the notification will not be a knock on the door it
will come as a certified letter in your mail box. Thats assuming you have a US address. I played that game with DTV a few years back and didn't like
it. Now I subscribe and use it down here illegally like everyone else. I have to admit I do miss the old days of H and HU cards, lots of fun while it
lasted.

Moi ?
The chances of finding ANY evidence that I have done anything illegal in regards to ANY subscription TV service is ZERO.
MY TV service runs a hundred bucks per month and I have NO illegal TV equipment.
The occasions in my (mostly youthful) past when I anticipated a knock on the door had to do with significant events in which I expected there might be
a Bunch of Law Enforcement to show up because there was a witness I wasn't aware of. The consequences of which would make discussion
of TV silly.
BUT, it never happened and I'm just a mellow old man now.

Be gentle this is my first post! I just signed up tonight so I guess I am offically a newbie!
We have a house in Rosarito area and are considering subscribing to Direct TV in our San Diego home instead of cable. I am under the impression that
if I get a second box I would be able to purchase another dish in Mexico and use the service when we are in Mexico. Is this really all there is to
it? I feel this might be a bit more legitimate than purchasing a box from one of the many people who sell boxes in our community.
So when I have the Direct TV guy come to install at our house, what do I do to get the second box. Have him actually install it and then unhook it or
will they just leave me an extra box?

Ask the DirecTV guy. There are no doubt a number of SD Dealers who know the Shake and Bake of installing receivers that will find their way into Baja.
They don't work for DirecTV-they're independent contractors.
You'll probably want to get the second receiver hooked up at your SD digs initially to at least get it authorized. Easier that way.
Or you could just get one box and then take it back and forth between the two locations. I don't know about DirecTV, but Dish Network can be really
hot on policing accounts where multiple receivers on the same account aren't connected to the same US phone line capable of dialing the Mother Ship
every now and then (Think VoIP).
