I used to ride a Honda XR650, mostly up in the Sequoias. A lot of fun was had on that bike but today I prefer the ease of a good 4x4 quad.

Time to climb back on...?
For this long cross-country trip I choose a Kawasaki 750 Vulcan. I didn't want to stop for repairs.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

Yo new guy. I'm as adament about mufflers on Harleys as you are, but I invite you to notice where you are and use appropriate language. You might, as
a result, have some chance of having a persuasive argument. OK?

Many of you have had more numberplates than I could have dreamed of, but this wone was the pinnacle of my racing.
1969 Bonneville Speed Trials. APSC 250 as shown in the only picture I have of the bike. All my runs were with the bike "naked". This image from the
background of a picture in the 1969 Hot Rod Magazine Annual. Ron Grant heads and barrels, and remote float carbs. Seized it twice at speed.
We had turned 107 in 12.47 at the drags so we were sure it was going to be easy on the salt.
Finally...downwind 121.621 and upwind within the hour 112.88 for a 117.252. Ten MPH over the record we wanted. 15 cu. in. stock engine, modified frame
250 Suzuki X-6 T-20 I guess I'm getting pretty nostalgic in my old age.

These are my 2 favorite Baja mounts. 1 for Speed and 1 for comfort. I'm working on a steel board mount like Oladulce's. My first PVC set broke.

A more creative application. The ding repair shop loves this set up.

This is Josh. In 2008, He traveled from Chicago to Guaymas to St Rosalia to San Diego on this scooter as a promotional trip. We met him in Abreojos
and he camped with us for one hell of a fun week.

Whale bone collecting with rts551 and fishinrich

This is my runabout quad after some way above average Razors

Good Times Baja style!

Sorry guys, I had too much fun looking through old pics. This might be the last one.
We rode into this area through some huge dunes from some the backside. Didn't realize we were "in the zone".
No worries

Each arm of our moto racks slides in to a piece of square tubing that's mounted on the front and back gear racks. The upper part of the long
extension arms will carry larger craft and fishing poles, and 1-2 shortboards will fit in the lower u-shaped portion (not recommended simultaneously).
The best feature of these racks is that you can take them off in an instant so the quads don't take up so much garage space and you can remove them if
you're just going for a ride or to town.
Extra garage space may have been BigWooo's original design idea, but although I do fine when riding with boards on the racks, when the racks are empty
I tend to forget how wide I am and whack alot of shrubs and cactus. The chewed up red foam is an indicator of my poor peripheral perception- so my
nice esposo removes the racks from my moto frequently.

I traded the 500 in on the Suzuki. That 500 handled better on sand then any other bike I owned. Not a big deal up here in Canada but it was quite a
plus on the Baja. |
