About Viagra

Nomad Dennis really likes this story and he thought I should post it. A few years ago I realized tourism was going to diminish quickly in Ensenada. My answer was to try and draw more local customers. And this strategy worked. It saved us so far. The last year and a half or so, I started noticing that we were selling quite a lot of Viagra, but it was to the locals and not the tourists. Why were they buying Viagra from the Cabacho (Slang for Gringo)? I wasn't complaining though. For a while I couldn't figure it out. Then at a school party for one of my children, I saw one of our Mexican Viagra customers and sort of inquired about this trend as discretely as I could when he brought the subject up. Oh its easy he said. We don't trust the other Drugstores. We grew up with those guys and we know how they operate. You, Medicine Man, can't get away with any funny stuff being a foreigner and you never raise your prices. If we bought from our compadres, the next time we would buy again, the price would increase 20%. Well hearing this made me feel a bit better about things overall.

I would chalk that up to the individual; David, not the gringo; David. He has been doing business there for a long time and must be doing something right. Sounds like a well earned reputation.

To the contrary. What big pharma has accomplished is to make a drug that can really help the minority among us to deal with a physical problem. Instead, this medication and others of its ilk have become something akin to recreational. (think pot) Sorry, but when folks start ingesting chemicals, mierda can happen. Can anyone even fathom the use of these drugs? Are we supposed to believe that prior to the release of this class of drugs, that half of the planet could not salute when the trumpet was playing??

I don't know but, there's a third type available down here in places....counterfeit. It pays to buy from a reputable source like David. If he ever sold fraud Viagra to a Mexican, the Hijos De Anarquía would pay him a visit.

So, maybe we need to have a poll here to identify the "need" for this little blue miracle, eh?

The generic Vitamina V is made in other countries. I've heard quality control can be a problem. Nobody makes consistantly high quality drugs like the USA.

Sounds like a good BajaNomad get together. Let's all meet at the Medicine Man and then over to Paris.
