Are any Nomads on Facebook?

I have a facebook page and have found a group devoted to Bahia De Los Angeles. I just thought some of you might like to check it out. And maybe join.

yeah- I do the facebook thing as it is the only sure way to find out what my family is up to... they all use it. But Baja facebook- no thanks. Nomads is fine.

Besides- they took the "geographic friends" feature away:

Like Woooosh, I have family members who use it so I do, but I really don't care for it... some 4 + other Nomads on it I have seen and chatted with.

I joined Facebook when I was interested in the Venezuela lady. She had a page so I joined it to read about her.
Some of my old friends from Massachsetts found me and that was fun for a while.
But now I never use it. It's a bit to difficult to use.

I have a Facebook page. I reluctantly signed up at the urging of kids and grandkids, and all of a sudden found myself in contact with a bunch of old friends that I had not communicated with in years, including some I knew when I lived in Brazil 45 years ago. I read today that there are 350 million Facebook members. Like David, I find it kind of cumbersome to use, and very non-intuitive. Nonetheless I am there.

You can just pick the folks you like on your page, so can't see the problem. I only communicate with about 15 friends and family. Some I found after not having heard from in ages.

I use facebook to stay in touch with family and friends, however I did think that some Nomad somewhere might enjoy talking to other BOLA people who may or may not know about Nomads.....silly me for thinking!

I use Facebook. Started when my kids were in college. Now still use it usually for a little bit just about every day.

Hehehehe, thas funny-- an' true.

About Facebook, I love it. Like Nomad you can post photos and create discussions, and you decide who gets to play in your sandbox.

Sometimes I've copied and pasted a link someone's posted here on Nomad because its about Baja.

we are on facebook, too!

bajafam's facebook page

we use it to keep in touch with family, friends, and people we meet on our travels. I like it because it's all over the world. We met a couple from Israel on our last Baja trip and keep in touch with them through FB.

Yeah, I have a Facebook page. Can't wait to wake up every morning to see what my 2nd cousin in Kalamazoo scored in 'Starz Blitz' and how many more fish little Bobby has in his online 'Aquarium'.

Facebook can be as interesting as you wish it to be. I don't participate in all those games and applications. I find it a pretty interesting group of people-- just like Nomad.

Many great groups on FB, like Animal Rescue Site, Bay of LA, Bay of Asuncion; you search it, you may find it.
