That would be a drag. I always enjoy enticing dolphins to swim with my panga.

When Governator Arnold stands next to a map of SF harbor and shows $7 trillion of destruction due to rising sea level in the next 150 years, where does Baja go? Pretty neat trick when the last 11 years of global temperatures have been dropping each year.

Will the Maritime Exclusion Zone move with it? Will Foreigners be required to keep paying Fideocomiso fees on their undersea property holdings?

Reports of the scientists in England faking and changing the data that was the foundation for Gore's "documentary" can be found. He cancelled his appearance at the Copenhagen meeting next week because of Climate-Gate.

Some scientists are now predicting a 30 year cycle of colder temps around the world. Buy extra serapes and get ready to move the boat ramps further out to sea.

First let me state, I am NOT a believer!

If you are a believer, please take the time to read Chapter 5 of "Super Freakonomics" by Steve D. Levitt & Stephen J. Dubner. If you still believe, we can find some Arizona Mountain property soon to be beachfront for you to buy.

Take this to off topic. It amazes me how many of you non-believers seem to follow science only when it is convenient for you.

Remember a time when Earth was flat? Of course the guys up at Scripps can't be taken seriously: http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewpr.html?pid=4460

We need to ask the Warming Freaks what dug the Great Lakes...?? GLACIERS!! TA DAH. What happened to them. TA DAH..MELTED! What caused that? TA DA..GLOBAL WARMING. ......and what caused that GLOBAL WARMING?

According to the Warming Freaks it only could have been MASTODON FARTS, CAVE MEN BARBECUING TOO MANY GIANT SLOTHS AND MARTIANS ZIPPING AROUND IN CARBON POWERED SPACE SHIPS.

Anybody who thinks that "climate change" has not happened before many, many times and FOR NATURAL CAUSES is an IDIOT! .......such idiocy makes them capable of watching/listening to Algore without a natural barf reaction.

Gosh, why in the world are the leaders of 100 nations meeting to discuss the fraud. Mostly, I guess because 100% of peer-reviewed science has been fooled into thinking the great fraud is somehow true. Gosh.

Can we ask what is the affect of pollution and costs of the imperialistic goals of the US military?

How significant is pollution from depleted uranium from our bombing raids.

What is the cost of amassing and exploding the largest weapons cache in the world?

What is the impact of genetically modified food on our environment?

What is the impact of loss of farming and local industry on our environment?

With so much government induced pollution why is the focus on taxation of families to fund a smart grid control network that does nothing to reduce the primary causes of pollution, namely the military industrial complex?

Are US Americans capable of rational thoughtful and critical discussion of this issue? Certainly not on main stream TV!

FAIRFAX, Va.--Worried about climate change and want to learn more? You probably aren't watching television then. A new study by George Mason University Communication Professor Xiaoquan Zhao suggests that watching television has no significant impact on viewers' knowledge about the issue of climate change. Reading newspapers and using the web, however, seem to contribute to people's knowledge about this issue.

The study, "Media Use and Global Warming Perceptions: A Snapshot of the Reinforcing Spirals", looked at the relationship between media use and people's perceptions of global warming. The study asked participants how often they watch TV, surf the Web, and read newspapers. They were also asked about their concern and knowledge of global warming and specifically its impact on the polar regions.Xiaoquan Zhao

"Unlike many other social issues with which the public may have first-hand experience, global warming is an issue that many come to learn about through the media," says Zhao. "The primary source of mediated information about global warming is the news."

The results showed that people who read newspapers and use the Internet more often are more likely to be concerned about global warming and believe they are better educated about the subject. Watching more television, however, did not seem to help.

He also found that individuals concerned about global warming are more likely to seek out information on this issue from a variety of media and nonmedia sources. Other forms of media, such as the Oscar-winning documentary "The Inconvenient Truth" and the blockbuster thriller "The Day After Tomorrow," have played important roles in advancing the public's interest in this domain.

Politics also seemed to have an influence on people’s perceptions about the science of global warming. Republicans are more likely to believe that scientists are still debating the existence and human causes of global warming, whereas Democrats are more likely to believe that a scientific consensus has already been achieved on these matters.

"Some media forms have clear influence on people's perceived knowledge of global warming, and most of it seems positive," says Zhao. "Future research should focus on how to harness this powerful educational function."

Do I need to add anything? How about it was all about POWER over the people... Anything that can be used to take away your freedoms and money is fair game to the politicians on the left.:light::yes:

Al Gore thought if they could repeat a lie long enough, it would believed as fact. Sure there is melting of glaciers... there has been for 10,000 years... it's a good thing! Water vapor is a greater greenhouse gas than CO2 (a natural gas produced by volcanos and animals, that plants need to live), yet they only propose the rediculous restriction on CO2!

Anyway, it was refreshing that the science community who faked the temperature numbers have been exposed... Trust your common sense folks, Mother Nature is far more powerful than man.

Skeet: your insight never ceases to amaze me.
Yes, it's true, we have been working very hard over the last 20 years or so to stir up the masses into believing this hoax with the express purpose of ruining the economy of Baja. This was done, of course, to drive down the property values and keep as many newbie gringos out of Baja as possible in order for us, the hoaxers, to enjoy Baja in relative peacefulness when our retirement times approached (now). Now that we've been outed, we will work feverishly to devise some other scheme in order to fulfill our goal of frightening people away from Baja as that is our ultimate goal. The side effect of the USA giving up it's sovereignty is just collateral damage in our view.

Skeet: I ask you this with all the respect that you deserve: have you ever wondered if the recent global warming revelations are in fact a hoax and your desire for them to be true has colored your reasoning? Ever?

Climate

Monkton's YouTube rant is stand-up comedy espousing a British Tory line without much basis in scientific fact. He is a British royal with a long history of espousing conservative agendas and zero qualification in the field of climatology. He's big in puzzles, though.

On the other hand, here is a piece which cites a long list of highly qualified sources and generally belies the count's position.

http://www.wunderground.com/education/928.asp

Two things which are not in dispute at all: rises in sea-surface temperatures are being recorded that surpass all existing records, and tropical storm activity tends to be greater in direct proportion to same. Baja Califonians, especially those in coastal areas, will be early beneficiaries of any major changes in climate that produce such rises.
