Last I heard he was having trouble finding a decent job---he should be in jail. Surprised Faux News has not hired him as a legal expert.:lol:

Last I heard he was hired by Texas Tech in Lubbock to be their diversity recruiter and teach political science. Obviously a lofty career move for a former Attorney General. But then, the administration he worked for only sought to hire people with certain special credentials.

OMG, political science taught by Gonzales would be like The Art of Warfare taught by Donald Rumsfeld.:lol::lol:

Is this off-topic enough yet???

Why do Churches have Lighting Rods.

I do not know especially if they are placed on Top of the Church as Lightning comes from the GROUND Upward!!!.

Alberto Gonsales did end up at Texas Tech.
It would be great if we could get as many Conservative Profs in the Universities as there are Liberal Profs.

What is good for the Goose is Good for the Gander!!!

Terrie (Loonie) Toons

Hey, Terrie, I wasn't IGNORING any science in my statement.

My point was that, assuming "The Sky is Falling and the Water's Rising" might be correct, we'll deal with it. Anything important enough to MANKIND'S survival will be addressed as the need becomes apparent. Those in the Less-Productive areas on Earth may have a problem, but isn't that how Darwin's supposed to work ? Biological Culling.

AND, if it turns out that Mankind, along with all the Animals, Fish and Fowl are destroyed in a hundred-thousand years or so, WHO'S going to know ? OR Care ?

Global Warming

It does no good to rehash your biases here. You are going to believe what you want to believe. Do diligent research on your own, the Media supplying just a part of your information. There are true and apparently false statements made by a few qualified scientists in order to embellish their point of view, but the scientific facts stand on their own. Keep your minds open to the possibilities.

"Fraud" and "Hoax" are not appropriate labels for such an important issue. While misstatements and subsequent coverups may have occured, that does NOT nullify the large body of evidence compiled over many years that Global Warming exists and is only made worse by the pollutants in our atmosphere that is being put there by man.

Our political ideology is largely influenced by our life's experiences and we are also shaped into our propensities because of the kind of person we have become as a result. Add to that your level of intelligence, your education, your parents (they influence in positive or sometimes negative ways), the way you handle fear or crises, your religious dogma, and your attitudes towards MONEY.

All of these factors, especially your attitudes in regards to money, determine the priorities you set for matters of great importance.:light:

Yes DianaT = If Texas the Greatest Republic ever left[Which they are the only State that can leave} California would not survive.
Texas the fastest growing State, less Unemployment, refused some of the Federal give away funds.

Be careful what you wish for, you may get it and then Where do you get your Gas if you have no money to pay for it..

Now back to the original Baja and Global Warming-

Did you notice how all of the different Nomads came out and yet only one or two defended Global Warming, one wanted to change everything to Climate Control.

. One of these days Baja will be like Florida if and I say they can ever get Canada to ship them some Water.-- Think about it.
Or as some put forth several years ago Long Beach Ca was going to Import icebergs to be floated from up North.

Maybe that Gobble Warming will cause the Boulder Dam to collaspe and all that water go to Baja, The fish would be saved.

Climate Change is an ongoing Natrual happening. Gobble Warming was a Scam from the Beginning and many people fell for it.

Thank goodness Al Gore never went to Baja!!

No Skeet, I think you got it backwards. Most of the posters here supported the continuation of the acceleration of global warming. They seem to enjoy breathing polluted air. They will enjoy breathing more polluted air when our population increases. I'm glad a study hasn't come out equating dumping raw sewage in the rivers to global ocean pollution. Then there would be a cry from the usual suspects demanding a halt to funding for waste treatment.

None of this has anything to do with Baja---and this piece of your logic is really good for another laugh.

Now I guess that science is wrong and the earth is only 6000 years old and cavemen walked with dinosaurs.

I believe that I read that Texas gets more in Federal funding than it pays in taxes.
